I've lost all my excitement I had for the ball to begin with. I don't even want to do that quest anymore and see my ladies in that ugly outfit. Its MoTA all over again.

Has anyone tried tweeting or contacting them about this yet?

 IIRC a couple said they had, but haven't said anything about a response.  They have to know about it now.  Either there's talk going on about potential fixes, or they're just ignoring us.

 

It's too bad.  The stronghold has some really awesome customization features, but if I have to look at that ugly suit the whole time I probably won't even bother with them, since I'll be minimizing the time I have to spend looking at it by spending as little time in Skyhold as possible.

I'm just as disappointed and I agree something similar to seras casual wear would be great cleaned up of course maybe short like hers in the front but longer in the back. So you get that cool long train effect would be fantastic. I'm also gonna hate going to the orlesian ball in the male inquisitors outfit I would have loved a beautiful intricate ball gown with a mask to match. I understand that we may be fighting in this particular quest which would be hard in a dress. But there are many options to fix that like the female inquisitor rips their gown or there's a way to change quickly into more combat like clothing. Either way it's still upsetting all we can do is show the Devs that while we appreciate the time and effort they spent on these outfits. We would appreciate more options some hopefully pretty and gown like. Lol ( that might just be me though)

It is so very odd that the times when you would think the female Inquisitor should look and dress "feminine" would be at time like this- the ballroom and chillin' in her crib. I guess she tries to make up for it by strutting around the battlefield.

The outfit is reminding me too much of this. What makes me sad is that they just copy pasted the male version on female and added two mounds of fat on the chest. I can play as a female but can't look like one

To me it just feels so odd that the companions seem to have all this effort put into their outfits, to make them unique, stand out and look good, but then we as the Inquisitor are left wearing something so bland.  I mean they're our character we are going to be seeing almost every second of play, in some ways you'd think that'd be more important.    I hope that with some DLC or something similar, we will get more options down the road...or at the very least I hope they take it into consideration for the next game.

 

Also while people are discussing it, I'm also incredibly bummed out by the Ball outfit.  The males suit looks pretty nice, but I'm disappointed they didn't give us the option for something a little more fitting for the female Quizzy....such a waste.

Yeah, I would rather they had less Skyhold customization options and used the resources to make more casual attire options.

I'll probably headcanon that my quizies lost a bet or something and they have to wander around skyhold in their PJs...Much to Vivienne's disapproval.

And please don't get me started about the ball outfit...Hope we still have mage robes at least.

Unfortunately I can't post pictures on here other wise I would. I found some amazing designs from a show I like to watch that incorporates 15th century French fashion with a modern twist to it. The show is called Reign and the dress designs are fantastic in my opinion and exactly what my femquisitor would wear.

Also I feel like a cleaned up version of seras casual attire would be great!! Maybe in a different color and off the shoulders with sheer sleeves and short like it is in the front but longer more flowy in the back like down to her knees or lower even.
