Sorry the image isn't loading for me, I've been having trouble with BSN all week.

It's the dress that has the blue sash on it.

Why did they not just let us use our armor in the first place.

Because then people would be complaining that they don't have a casual outfit. Or at least, I would. And, to be fair, I don't HATE this outfit, but I agree that I'd like to at least be able to change the colors.

 

Although my preference would be to have just this one casual outfit in the core game and then get a large(ish) DLC clothing pack later.

But look at the things our companions wear cullen wears armor.

 

Yes, but Cullen wears his armour all the time (apparently) so they have complete control over what he wears when they make the cutscenes.  If he could appear in anything at any time it would be different.  I assume that the actual companions (i.e. the ones whose gear you can change) have a default look of some kind in Skyhold too, for the same reason, but I don't know that for sure.

Similar enough  But in red and with a bulkier sash. 

 

I don't want a ball gown that's radically different from the suit we've seen, we're there as the Inquisitor representing the Inquisition along with other members of our organisation so we should visually match them. I just want a girlier option instead of adjusted male outfit all the time.   

 

Though things can always be worse

I actually like the Shepard Leather Mini Dress...in theory. It was exactly the kind of thing my Shepard would have worn. I just wish she didn't buy it from the Citadel equivalent of a bootleg street barker.

I really hope someone will be able to make a mod that lets you wear your armor in Skyhold. I'm sure we can create a very light looking armor so I can pretend it's my Inquisitor's casual outfit. I'm trying very hard to warm up to the outfit but I just can't, there's not a single thing I like about it. Sigh.

I like to collect and try out all the various outfits for my Video game dolls.

The mods couldn't come out fast enough for me. The day I was able to swap it out for Ashley's tunic was a glorious one (liked the amour just didn't suit Ash imo).  

 

Then they brought it back in the Citadel DLC

Ugh, saw a screenshot of the full ball outfit and yep, still think it's amazingly ugly, the only way I'd accept us wearing it is if we are undercover as a guard or something,

....eeeeexcept for all of the cinematics they'd have to redo, and the effort involved to be able to accommodate any size and shape of armour or robe or coat or whatever.

Well armor is out of the question unless they know how to do something. What outfits seem like the inquisitor could wear them while judging some ones fate.

The ugly casual outfit reminds me how I wish the MC would have just kept the armor on like in Awakening.

Hmm, at first I didn't mind the casual outfit but after taking a closer look at it... it looks horrid, I'm sorry but it does.. how in the world does the Inquisitor get away with that with Josephine, Leliana, Dorian, and Vivienne in the castle?! 

 

Has Bioware said whether or not it's the same for all races or will there be a different outfit for each? If there isn't, I dread the day I start a male Qunari Inquisitor..
