Hmm, at first I didn't mind the casual outfit but after taking a closer look at it... it looks horrid, I'm sorry but it does.. how in the world does the Inquisitor get away with that with Josephine, Leliana, Dorian, and Vivienne in the castle?!

Has Bioware said whether or not it's the same for all races or will there be a different outfit for each? If there isn't, I dread the day I start a Qunari Inquisitor..

The outfit is the same regardless of race or gender.

I think a cloak would've been nice.

agreed. a nice fur cloak would be a nice addition, especially as we high in the mountains, I do suppose it might get chilly up there :P

Well, with how skintight the outfit is, I imagine it's like a wetsuit where it won't be letting any body heat out.

A fur coat ala House Starks of ASoiaF would have been neat.

They would have to redo all the animations

Why? Your telling me that in ME3 they had do separate animations for every combination of armor possible?

a fur cloak would be nice, I was thinking maybe a lion hide fur cloak similar to this:

Spoiler

but without the armor...and axe.

Mass Effect doesn't have to deal with multiple races, so that comparison doesn't work

If DA:I was still human only, we would probably have the features

http://www.westeros....omo_01_Photo_02 The first woman's cloak would be beautiful for the female inquisitor but I'd be fine with a black one and some cute boots

I still want something more flowing and feminine. Something with a pretty corset with awesome design detail. Something that moves when I walk or run if it's made with sheer looking material then the clipping won't be as noticeable. Also keep the colors light and vibrant so it stands out and looks good with the companions.

To be fair, Mass Effect 3 did have some bad clipping issues when it came to armor.

Sean Bean and Michelle Fariley always did look sharp in those coats for certain. Man, do I really wish for one now.

first get the images url by right click and selecting "copy image url" and then when posting on the forum there's an icon on the same row as Bold, Italicize, and Underline that looks like a little scenic picture, just click on that and paste the image url, job done.

I understand what your saying, but there were other races that played roles in the cutscenes. The scenes that you speak to companions are not movie cinematics, they are real-time. All it would do is change your clothes, the only thing that would need fixing is the clipping.

Most cinematics take place outside skyhold, and each one will show the custom armor of you and your companions.

I can't wait to replay my first characters if they give us a DLC with better options, however we will still have to trudge through the first playthrough with these outfits.

I'll still probably enjoy the game, just head canoning the sh*t out of what they wear instead of what.... We have now.

I honestly don't mind it. It looks fairly reasonable and doesn't have anything very personality specific about it, it is the same on both female and male characters, it has neutral colours, and it's got some at least vaguely militaristic styling touches. If there's to be only one casual outfit, that would be everything I'd want out of it (well, a less form-fitting jacket would be nice, but I suppose that's just getting picky).

I do agree it's a bit odd that you can change some rather minor details in the stronghold but not the casual clothing, though, since you'll presumably be spending a lot more time looking at your character's casual clothes than at the curtains, and what they choose to wear does likely say more about them. So, it would be nice if you could change at least a few things about it, and/or had a few different sets of clothing to pick from, or could choose to wear your armour instead.

I honestly like the casual outfit. I like earthy tones, as well. However, with the ball--it would have been nice to have a gown or at least some sort of costume. Since the fashion in Orlais is reputed to go outrageous with it, and since it represents your prestige, it would have been nice to see something elaborate and unusual with a mask. Maybe that is just my inner Labyrinth fangirl talking. I loved that scene in the movie and when reading about Orlais and the ball, it is the first thing that popped in my mind.
