That does have kind of an Orlais feel to it doesn't it? I would have really liked to wear that blue suit for some of my PCs. I'm not into dresses really but something like Sarah's dress would have been awesome to see as well.

Not going to lie, the dancing scene in Labyrinth was what I was picturing when rumors of an Orlesian ball mission first surfaced... and I'm not the kind if girl who likes wearing dresses!
Not giving the player the option to dress their character for the ball is just... so close, and yet so far, BioWare. I thought it would be obvious that the dress-up part was the reason many of us wanted such a mission in the first place...
Well, I may could have understood it were it in Fereldan. But Orlais is all about the fashion and costumes, etc. I just think it would have been a perfect opportunity to utilize that lore and get that taste of Orlais and The Game. It really does seem like a missed chance. Oh well. What can ya do.

Companies know and understand alot of ppl love nothing more than "dressing up" there characters and changing how they look, expect paid dlc in the future with it all in it and the same old story of not enough time to put in vanilla
I am surprised that there is no clothing customisation for Skyhold, given that you will spend a lot of time there. I'm not really a huge cutomisation person, but I'd much rather have 3 or 4 different clothing options than 40 different mounts.
I understand that all genders and races have been given the same outfit to reduce clipping and yeah okay I accept that as a reason but why we can't have a bit of customisation within that set outfit. Separate the parts- Dye them, use patterned material, change the boots/gloves etc.
I still can't believe I can change the curtains in Skyhold but not the outfit my character wears.
I'm so jealous of Morrigan's ball gown, at this point I'd happily wear Anora's DOA dress.
Talking about the outfit on M!Inquisitor, I actually *don't* like it. It looks really tight on him...
I mean that's basically someone taking an ultralight cloth and yanking it... the pecs are slightly too defined and the stomach area looks too tight (which is weird, because that is one tiny abdomen). I look at that and immediately feel bad about myself...
. The pants look slightly better on the male though.
Plus this is only one of four male bodies. Also, I kinda want to mention that the colouring looks better to me on a white person than it did on a brown person. As a guy who had the MotA outfit clash horribly with his skintone, this made me disappointed.

I am not looking forward to how that outfit is going to look on my ladies =/

At least it looks bad on everyone? Yay? I'm terrified for what the Qunari will look like.

Perhaps like this? Granted, this is from E3's alpha build.

Tighter and beige it is!
I think it look quite good on Qunari *shrug
It seems that we wear the casual attire while preforming the judgments.
Spoiler
This is actually the first shot I've seen of the casual outfit and not hated it. Maybe it's the lighting, or maybe the pose is badass enough to make up for the outfit. Or... Is there any chance there's been a little color tweaking between the previous build and what will be released? I wonder.... It's certainly not too late to fiddle with the color of the thing before release.

You're not alone. It does look like someone washed the male PC's outfit on hot and it shrunk. Still, the design is okay I think, and I don't have a problem with it.
I'd even be okay with earth tones if it didn't disturbingly blend into the background. That shade of brown is almost identical to the floor, and the "judgement" screenshot only makes it clear how ugly that color scheme is to me.
Hey, Mr. Laidlaw, if you or any member of the DA team are reading this at all anymore, what's up with the lack of color? Also, what color changing system are you using to make sure the player can match their drapes to their eyes? Why didn't you do the same for the clothes system? I'm not trying to be very snarky here, so forgive the tone, but I'm a little hurt and confused. If I want to play a game that allows for customizing furniture, I know of one by your publisher that I can pick up from Origin right now.
I'm truly puzzled, and I have to wonder why you decided drape recoloring a good idea, one that's more important than the clothes we have to stare at when we go to Skyhold? Why is recoloring the throne and curtains more important than the clothes we wear in a Dragon Age game?
At this point, I don't care about extra options. I just want to recolor the one option we have. If another design is too much work, then I can respect that. They've been working their arses off on this game, and I'm not going to pretend another design is easy to whip up. Just give me some color options and I'll be content.
Well, no Josie romance for me for awhile. Nothing against the character, but that pretty much just sealed the deal. I'm going to be spending as little time at Skyhold as I absolutely have to. The colors on that outfit are awful to me, and the less time I have to look at it, the less irritated I'll feel playing my first character. Since I know Josie is going to be mostly at Skyhold, I'll be skipping her romance unless there is some sort of recolor option. The same goes for Cullen.
I will never, ever understand the logic in a Dragon Age game that customizing the throne I'm going to be sitting on > the clothes I'm wearing. Not even an option to wear my armor at the base. Nope, just that skin tight outfit in beige. I guess black and white was just too much to ask for. ![]()
Sorry, I'm a little bitter. However, as a lot of folks around here can tell you, I'll be upset for about 1-3 days and get over it.
Unpopular opinion inbound.
I think it looks good. I suppose a different colour would be nice, but I have no problems with this attire.
It reminds me of the Tudor period clothes.
I overall don't mind the actual design and cut of the outfit. That color is cringe-worthy for me though.

I think you're asking right questions. I don't understand why throne is more imortant than outfit either. I think choosing your throne is cool but I want to choose what I'm wearing too...
I'm less angry than yesterday, but there is no way in the world that I'm ever going to like this colour. ![]()

Honestly, I look at that and keep saying... but it doesn't fit! If it were slightly looser (or made to look like a thicker fabric and thus not so body hugging), I'd be more okay with it. Except for the colour. The cut is fine, the sizing bothers me.
There's also the fact that I feel the outfit glorifies his skinny waist and tiny, tight abdomen, but that's just my body insecurities at work, so take that little bit (and no more) with a grain of salt.
I think it looks fine on the female Inquisitor, but does not do the male one any favours. I'm hoping for an option (in the form of a post-launch patch) to wear anything you want in Skyhold.
I wish they had kept it white, grey, and black as in that qunari picture instead of beige, brown, beige.
Yep, same here.
