I canceled mine, as well, although the lack of feminine clothing wasn't the sole reason for my decision. Bioware wants to make cinematic games, and I want to play games that give the player more control. If other players' comments convince me that I'd enjoy it, I can always buy it later.
May I ask what game you are playing that gives even more control than a BW game? TW is about the same as far as choice goes, and they are the only RPG that comes to mind that is pretty good about player choice. Well, so I've heard. I'll be polite and simply say that I had some real issues with the game and wasn't able to get far.
So what will you be playing in the meantime? Journey maybe? I've heard it's really good and all about player choice. Forgive the off-topic, but this puzzles me. When I read the bolded, especially before the game even comes out, I have to wonder why/how that conclusion was reached. I guess I won't allow a couple of twitch streams and some snippets form all of my judgement on the game. I have this weird thing where I have to play a game after it comes out before I decide how much I like it.
I'm not trying to come down on you too hard. I know of folks that, between the lack of city elves; the poor selection of lady Qunari hair; having a nutcracker uniform for the ball regardless of gender; and now the "lovely" shade of greyish brown and brown for the causal outfit, these guys are cancelling their pre-order.
Honestly, I've been sitting here trying to think of another mainstream/AAA game in recent memory that doesn't have CDPR or BioWare attached to it that gives a crap about actual player choice and I'm stumped. Skyrim...doesn't have much of a character for the PC, and I didn't exactly feel the weight of my decisions in the game.
