I think Vivienne is the strongest leader for all circle mages at the moment.

Why?

Currently, there's a war. As much as I would hate to say it, if mages lose this war there's literally no telling what could happen to mages. It could be like Kirkwall, except, all over Thedas. Which would only cause more strife. In that case, Vivienne is a shining example of a mage that can lead other circle mages into the light and show the people of Thedas that mages can be trusted.

Likewise, if Mages do win this war, then Vivienne can be a mentor to younger mages and teach them how to be responsible citizens of Thedas. Once again, showing the mundanes that mages are not to be feared, but respected. Like Vivienne.

What do you think?

Well, if the mage thing doesn't work out, she can always open her own fashion design company.

In fact, I can say she and only she alone could create a renaissance for Mages and social justice. If a mage can rise from the circle into the inner nobility. There's no reason why she cannot bring about a certain grandeur to being a mage that extends to the rest of her peers. She could totally flip views of mages to the public eye.

Well she only talked 2 minutes about the mages rebellion , she made some good points but it's a bit early to crown her Queen of The Circles.

I'm sure she would love it though.

Thing is even if currently the mages have a bad reputation , if they help during the Breach crisis , because they choose to do it , not because the Chantry is forcing them...it could be good for their future.

I will wait and listen to what she has to say .

Mundanes need to be enslave and serve the true masters of this world. Vivienne has failed us.

Um... a mage ruling Orlais?  I like Vivienne and all, but let's not get carried away...

I'd support her as Grand Enchanter in the new Circle though, without a doubt.

See, on the surface that sounds like it might be tolerable... heck, maybe even enlightened.  I mean, everyone deserves a fair chance to rise in status according to their skill and abilities, right?  But then...

Mundanes need to be enslave and serve the true masters of this world. Vivienne has failed us.

Yeah... see, that kind of attitude is one of the reasons why normal folks don't want mages anywhere near them...

she would like that as well, me not so much....  I have trouble liking her character based on what we know right now....  shes in it for power, as in political power.  I dont trust someone so hungry to not resort to more dangerous forms of magic if it means they can move up in the world.....  (note i said, based on what we know now)

I see it the complete opposite if the Magi LOSE theirs hope she could step in and see them all caged again instead of slaughtered.

but if magi win her opposition to the rebellion would see her cast out like a leaper for supporting the newly named "old Magi prison system"

I really enjoyed hearing Vivienne's perspective.  For me, her points were dead on.  I think that she is a little abrasive and haughty in her delivery, but I can easily see her stepping into a very strong leadership role.  I would for that to be a potential outcome for DA: I:  putting Vivienne in a leadership position for a revamped Circle (sans Templar oppression).

I will have to get to know Vivienne better to know how I feel about her. All I know right now is that she feels the rebelling mages are making everything worse, which may be true, but in many circumstances they have no choice when they are being hunted or are targets on sight. I feel that from her previous, less-restrained position in the circle, she may have a biased view on many things. I do believe the mages should be striving for peace ultimately, but also compromise that doesn't put them back into the same spot where this all brewed from before. It's obvious a change needs to be made, and we need someone who understands that, is smart, diplomatic and coercive to lead them. I might think she fits that, or I might think she doesn't. One small conversation isn't enough for me to really know.
