This Opinion fits mine perfectly I do not understand why Cassandra would promote him to such a position he isn't even qualified to undertake. He also comes of as being a misoganistic fool.
When have Cullen show that he's being misogynistic?

Lets face it, poor Josephine needs to really convince me to heed her advice. It's weird, but there's a probable chance i'll choose to follow Lelianna over both my advisers even if it's detrimental to my Inquisition. Bias can really impact one's thought process and i'm overly biased towards Lelianna. She's in love with my warden and in my cooky mind, as a result of that, my Inquisitor is going to be looking out for her best interests. I'm hoping for the prospects of a Quizzy and Warden fist bump moment. Some of us might not even know, but subconsciously favor a more relatable character over logic.
So the question is: How many of you will be neutral going into the game, and will bias towards a certain character impact your overall choices?
I imagine I'll have a slight bias towards Leliana. So much history there and all. ![]()
But for the most part which advisor I favor will depend on what kind of personality I'm going for with that particular Inquisitor. I suspect my first one will be more diplomatic, so Josephine will probably be the most favored advisor there.
I'm surprised people would disregard an Advisers advise purely because you don't like his personality...
Ooh BSN...
Isnt that what most usually do in RL?
I don't ignore my teachers advise if i hate their guts. They probably know what they are doing.
Lies. You'd probably think they're stupid and disregard everything they say. It's only after a few years pass that you look back and realize they knew what they were doing ![]()

I am generally slightly biased towards people I find attractive, so... sorry Cullen.
I intend my character to be a shrewd political utilitarian, so assassination and espionage are probably going to be given equal credence to diplomacy.
Most likely going to do the opposite of whatever Cullen suggests. No idea how he became an adviser for military matters when he has no experience at all in strategy, leading troops, laying siege to places or anything else any officer above captain in any one of the armies of Thedas would know.
My Inquisitor will most likely going to side with one advisor over another due to just how views align. From what I know right now it does sound like Leliana might win most but need to actually get to know but Josephine and Cullen a little
2nd playthrough I'm romancing Scribbles
And i will admit i'll shamelessly agree to everything she says =P
Those shoulders she has are sooooo POOFY
I've always loved espionage so it's not really me being biased towards Leliana and more towards what she represents. My Inquisition will probably favour espionage by quite a bit and balance whatever's left between the military and diplomacy, possible with a slightly higher emphasis on diplomacy. Maybe.
I for the largest part will be unbiased and will just be going on what I think best fits the situation/fits my character. Cullen will probably be my LI for my first playthrough and I'm actually somewhat worried I might get in trouble with him because I'm not planning on compromising what I want to do, for him. I can see myself siding with Josie a fair bit, with some Lel on the side...poor ol' Cullen may be left on the sidelines. I'm also probably going to be fairly pro mage...so we'll see how that turns out lol.

Your Inquisitor doesent know that Leliana and the warden is romatically involved.
Also your Inquisitor know little to nothing about the warden him/herself.
Man up and roleplay without metagaming / cheating ? ![]()
I think The OP mean a different kind of biased, based on knowing Leliana and Cullen already.Of course I'll be biased. After all, my Inquisitors have opinions of their own. I'm going to focus on the spy business in one game and on diplomacy in another. Not sure if I'll ever go full military, not because I don't like it on principle, but because there is a limited pool of perks and some I won't be able to not take.
I'll probably value Josephine's advice most, but I'll also be interested in what Leliana has to say as I'm mostly interested and will be looking for the diplomatic or espionage approach. That being said, as advisors their main role is to advise, so I'll still make my own decisions...well, as much as the game will allow. ![]()
If I am going to have any bias it may be towards Scribbles as that is my first romance choice. Other than that I will choose the advisor that best suited for the mission
Surprisingly, I won't. I actually think I'll go with an rout that seems most sound. For example, even if I personally dislike Cullen as an person, I thought he had the best advice of how to get some starting money for the inquisition. I was surprised with that. So I won't let my personal feelings on an character influence my decision of what is best for each situation.

Misogynistic : reflecting or exhibiting hatred, dislike, mistrust, or mistreatment of women.
Going to assume you meant "misogynistic" in which case, I wonder if you know what the word means? Not once have I ever heard Cullen hating on women. Mages yes, women, no. In fact, he's quite conflicted even about mages when it comes to the Female Mage Warden in Origins.
*Edit* Cassandra promoted him to the Inquisition because after Kirkwall went ****** up, it was Cullen who unified what was left of the templars in the city and restored order to it. My Hawke couldn't be bothered and skipped town immediately after killing Meredith. She was good with Chaos...not so fantastic with Order.
As for my 'liking' one over another influencing my decisions, my first Inquisitor is going to be the pragmatic sort. She's going to pick the best person for each mission after weighing carefully the choices and how effective it will be, what perks she'll find most useful from it, etc.
Yes, RP will be sacrificed a little for min-maxing purposes, and I'll be using the Prima guide book until I get the gist of the game and how the system works. Tweaking it will be up to subsequent playthroughs.
Cullen and Lelianna will probably get ignored by my Dalish character, they are strongly associated with the faith of the maker, so tainted,

you also forgot whether they are attractive enough to listen to
