Lets face it, poor Josephine needs to really convince me to heed her advice. It's weird, but there's a probable chance i'll choose to follow Lelianna over both my advisers even if it's detrimental to my Inquisition. Bias can really impact one's thought process and i'm overly biased towards Lelianna. She's in love with my warden and in my cooky mind, as a result of that, my Inquisitor is going to be looking out for her best interests. I'm hoping for the prospects of a Quizzy and Warden fist bump moment. Some of us might not even know, but subconsciously favor a more relatable character over logic.

So the question is: How many of you will be neutral going into the game, and will bias towards a certain character impact your overall choices?

Well, I am a little biased against both Cullen and Leliana...

Culle has the problem of being a Templar - with my characters being mostly mages that makes me cautious in trusting him (hell, DA2 adds to that)...

Leliana for me is too much a chantry fanatic and has little own personality (she somehow always needs someone to hold her leash...she is not independent...firstly it was that orlesian lady, then Marjolain (spelling?), then the warden, then the divine and now apparantly Cassy (at first at least, as she puts the inquisition together) and the PC-Character, the inquisitor)...her abilities are impressive and she knows her craft, but when it comes to the chantry, I will not trust her (she is too sympathetic to them because of her past close ties to their leadership)

Toward Josephine I have a "wait and see" attitude (I don't know her yet, so I will let her proof herself :) )

Hell, I am biased against my companions, too...

Mostly against Cassy (again a chantry fanatic...and the latest trailers and stuff show that she does not have a sense of humor (at least not much of one -.-)...) and against the Bull (come on, he has lived among non Qunari, how can he stick to the Qun?...well, the Qun is my problem with him...I don't like them communist borg that condone slavery (of mages and non-believers))

greetings LAX

I'm going to do the exact opposite of everything Cullen says. The plan is to force a confrontation to murder him. Or in the very least make him leave.

I'm biased against Leliana because she promised my Warden we'd be together and she apparently left him.

I will most likely be biased towards Josephine because I'll be trying to get into her panties. Actually Antivans don't wear panties do they?

Of course.

In fact, being selectively biased will probably be one of the characterization aspects that distinguish my various characters. Creepy!Good FemInquisitor will lean towards diplomacy and espionage. Andrastian!Qunquisitor will be very pro-military, with only as much inclination towards diplomacy as there is interest in it's patron. Corrupt!Selfish!DwarfQuisitor will probably be a mix of espionage and military.

On my serious/canon play through I'll be taking their advice and choosing whichever happens to be the most suitable for the current situation. They probably know what they're talking about, else why would they be advisers?

After that I'll probably have a play through where the Inquisitor is an insufferable so and so, and choose the opposite of what each adviser advises, just to see how things pan out.

Honestly I'll probably find myself gravitating towards Josephine more often just because I normally prefer playing more diplomatic/charismatic characters, and that's how I'll want to run the Inquisition.

I'm just going to be a very ignorant human Inquisitor who is ignorant and does not believe in being diplomacy with potential enemies. A bit like Jaime Lanister, just without the...incest.

I'll just take the advice that seems most sound in the present moment. I don't care who gives it, if it's a stupid advice then I won't follow it...

I'll only use Cullen when the strategy guide tells me if I use him he will fail so I can tell him how useless he is.

My warden "kill" lelianna, Hawke was want to do this again

My warden want to execute Cullen, Hawke want to do this too after dealing with his meredith,,and now this templar kirkwall butcher with lefted bastards in Inquisition

never like Cassandra and others like her and not think that i will be ok with old friend of Lelianna and antivan noble/merchant Josephine

about dvisors i always found this stupid and we have much better options for advisors

why not varrick why not blackwall...2 of them is a much better suited for a roles of spy/diplomat and military advisor,,,they are more skilled and neutral sided than those 2 Orlais Chantry dogs like Lelianna and Cullen

unfortunately we a forced to have them and we cant rid of them no matter what

Or his leader is just very bad at making decisions.

Possible bias depending on Mission details; prefer to leave Cullen and his Templar attitude at home when speaking with most Mages. However, a certain cut-scene reveal will now have him front and center instead of Leliana.

Even though I'll prefer Josephine's way of doing things, I think I'll end up with a spy headquarters-looking base because Leliana has most of the dialogue perks that I'll be buying. :(

I'm going to use Cullen for every single possible task. He will be my chore mule. Even collecting herbs and spices. He was mean to me in DA:O so he's going to suffer greatly. I SAID PICK THOSE HERBS!

2nd option will be Leliana.

Scribbles can just sit there and look pretty.

I get the feeling I will be relying on Cullen a lot. I respect his courage, tenacity, and straightforward approach. Sure, sometimes diplomatic envoys and blades in the night can come in handy, but I think a lot of problems can be solved by seguing to directly to fire and blood.

@DarthLaxian The way you describe Leliana, I'm reminded of Allison Argent.

Do we have to favour an advisor to get their perks? That really sucks if so. :(

Whether or not you have to, you'd probably want the perks of the adviser whose advise you follow most often. I mean, their perks will probably include equipment that helps out with their ways of doing things...
