Okay, I've been examining my spreadsheet of decisions I made in the various Dragon Age games, in anticipation of entering my worldstates into the Dragon Age Keep. However, I notice my info is lacking when it comes to Warden's Keep.

So, I am asking you:

Is there any way to tell, either via codex entries, journal entries, ending slides, ANYTHING from any game...  is there any way to tell what state I left Avernus and Sophia Dryden in? I legitimately can't remember and it isn't clear from reading my old quest log.

I think there's a quest in DA2 that relates to whether you left him alive or not, it's something about a warden formula or something, I'll try and find out the name of it.

The Avernus quest in DA2 is "Dark Epiphany." You come across a dead messenger on the Wounded Coast with Grey Warden letters and Avernus' Experimental Draught. If you sided with Sophia, you get the "Terror on the Coast" sidequest.

I can't recall if there are any codexes in DAO that mention your Avernus/Sophia choice. However, if you go to Warden's Keep and talk to Levi, he will have a choice to ask him about Avernus if you let the guy live. Levi will say he hasn't heard a peep out of him, but that he tells the children to steer clear of the tower.

If you spared Avernus, the Grey Warden notes in DA2 will either say that Avernus received a shipment and got results or that he received results despite ethical setbacks. Hence, the codex allows you to determine if you made Avernus use ethical experiments or not.

The letter adds a small hint to the fact that you spared or not the architect too, I don't remember exactly what words were used but it's easy to guess that.

I always wanted there to be more to Dark Epiphany. Another tie-in to DAO

I should also add, that the message that is on Avernus' body will differ depending on weather you told him to practice it ethically, or not. If you told him to do so Ethically, then the message suggest he struggled more, if not he will extend thanks to the Warden Commander for his most recent supply.
