In 12:34-12:37 we see Merrill talking about how she saw The Champion of Kirkwall to an Inquisitor soldier.
What do you think about this news?

If it is her, they could have simply wanted to throw her in as a quick cameo and not as an actual character you could interact with.
That would have called for a different VA, because who would want to come in for a line or two in the background of a game?
But we never know.

if you're saying that woman talking to the guard is merril i find that hard to believe because she looks much darker than merril, (who was very pale in da2) and it sounds like a different VA. it could just be lighting and a new choice by director, or it could easily just be a random woman who just might have seen the champion on her travels,

We don't know its her. she isn't in the same outfit, the Image is very blurry so that scarf might just be part of the armor, and the Hair cut you say is the same is a short black hair cut. so either you are saying all people with short black hair cuts have merrils hair style or only she has that hair style. also not the mention the obvious change in complexion and the obvious Different VA.
And many people can talk about the champion, its not like the champion was in any historical events or something. and its not like when some regular person sees the champion they wouldn't be excited by it as if they were running into a celebrity. Nope! No way that can happen. Nope merril must be the only one who care about seeing the champion. (i'm being sarcastic) 
No, I don't think so. Listen to the annunciation from the voice actress. "I'm telling you, I SAW him, I SAW him. The Champion....."
Had it been Merrill, she wouldn't have to insist that the other person believe her. She's a well-known companion of the Champion. Also, she says "The Champion...." with such reverence. First, Merrill, along with the rest of the Champion's companions, doesn't use Hawke's title to refer to him/her. They just say 'Hawke'. And they don't say it with reverence. Surprise, anger, fear, joy, irritation, many other emotions. But you're not going start saying the title of one of your most intimate friends like it's a big, huge event you're going to tell your grandkids someday. This was a man or woman that, for seven year, saw Hawke on a daily(maybe nightly 
) basis. They may be glad to see him/her, but they're not going to act like it's the most important event they need to gossip about.
Hawke's companions will be a little more blase than that.
Please no. My Hawke was nice. My inquisitor won't hesitate to send an ice spike through her blood mage head.
