Interesting. I went back to listen a few more times. lol! What I can gather: Maybe!Merrill says, " I'm telling you, I saw her." SumDude replies: "The Champion? You say you saw the Champion and I'm supposed to believe you?" . Then--this is where it gets interesting--Maybe!Merrill says, "I was in Kirkwall. I know her.....[when I see her, or I did see her]".
But this character clearly says I was in Kirkwall. I know her.......and then something I can't quite make out.
I don't know if there's already a thread about this, maybe I'm late to the party, but here it goes:
In 12:34-12:37 we see Merrill talking about how she saw The Champion of Kirkwall to an Inquisitor soldier.
What do you think about this news?

I think that just might be Merrill! Well, maybe. I'd hoped to find Merrill still rolling with my Hawke since they did stay together. Maybe she is still with her and this is just a default thing....

It did look like the same scarf…and she definitely mentions being in Kirkwall at some point. Definetely wasn't Eve Myles though.
I'm not convinced it's her, but it certainly could be.
I hope it is Merrill. It'll be good top know she is being taken care of while Hawke does their mission.
I really doubt Merrill would call Hawke 'The Champion' instead of just Hawke. She knew him for almost a decade in the game after all. Also it's a different voice, though the appearance is similar.

The female elf, whoever she is, isn't saying anything about the Champion, though. It's only the man she's talking to who uses that title, and the woman replies something along the lines of "I was in Kirkwall, I know her."

You know, there's this tail bit that this Maybe!Merrill says--right as Quizzy is approaching Cole. It's after she says, "I was in Kirkwall. I know her when I see her." (possibly).
I can't quite make it out, but it sounds like she's saying, "and she isn't the Champion. or "And she isn't just the Champion."
So like, "I was in Kirkwall. I know her when I see her. [And she isn't just the Champion]."
Ofc, it's hard to say on that part, but could be interesting bit if so..

Well Hawke is missing, right? So if it is Merril, it could be that she says she saw the missing Champion and the guy she's talking to doesn't believe her.
So the more likely situation is that a dalish elf with the same haircut, gender and scarf is speaking about the champion?
What are the chances of a woman from the same culture having the same scarf, haircut, and anatomy? Very high actually.

Didn't sound like Merrill but kinda looked like her- maybe they changed voice actor.
