Ugh, FPJ didn't do it for me as Iron Bull. Someone that big should have a deeper voice. FPJ sounded to me like a dude bro TRYING to go to a deeper register but failing.

I realize not every VA can be James Earl Jones, but they really didn't have a guy who could do a good baritone with some resonance?

I am hoping against hope that Hawke is a secret 10th companion.

:P

Me too! Imagine the gloriousness of a play like that on Bioware's part.

As soon as I learned Vega was voicing the Bull I knew they should've gone with Keith David instead.

It's really hard to imagine she's leading anything. Maybe they are all underage?

To be fair Iron Bull seems just as 'devil may care' and he's the leader of a mercenary band yet no one seems to be side-eyeing it.  Sometimes you just need passion and a point of view that people are willing to get behind.

Yeah, I thought she was just a member of Friends of the Red Jenny, not the leader. That struck me as well. Hopefully just a mistake. I don't think a 22 year old is leading a crime syndicate.

Or you kill the former leader and take over the now vacant position......

Sara is so cool. I just love her after this video. This bothers me though because I was planning on bring Varric around as my ranged rogue all the time. I might have to make some time for Sara just to here her witty one liners.

Well, IB's voice will take some time for me to get used to, but maybe Bioware made a point of going against our expectations? He's not the typical qunari after all (e.g. the Arishok).

Nice to finally hear a bit more of Sera.

If you are very skilled at your craft you lead even if you are young.  There are a lot of young captains in the NHL.

For me, it wasn't her age; it was her immaturity. She doesn't seem like someone who I would trust to run much because she comes across as flippant, dismissive, and immature. Those are not traits I associate with good decision making. Plus, it's annoying.

Woah, Hawke is all over that new video! I wish we could have a closer look, I'd love to see what  he looks like in the new engine. I wonder if he only appears in the Fade...

I am hoping so bad there is a "Sera"/"serah" exchange at least once in this game.

"Good day, Sera! Well said, serah!"

Just finished watching it again. I'm going to do one playthrough with Cole and Solas in the party just long enough to get their banter chain, and as soon as I'm done with that Dorian is permanently taking Solas' spot on the squad.

A specialized support mage with an awesome sense of flair and the inside scoop on the Venatori? Yes please.

semi confirmed: Red Jenny elects leaders by calling out 'one, two, three, not it!' Sera was distracted at the time.

I don't find Sera to be especially witty. More childish.

That was pretty awesome.

Quizzy:  "Stop talking like you're waiting for applause"

Dorian:  "What?  There's no applause?"

That was hilarious, I knew I was going to like Dorian, he's my kind of man haha.

All three of those companions sound pretty fun though, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of 'em.

Pretty much this. A little too forced for me.

I tend to think that BW humor makes pretty poor soundbites (or, rather, the humor works much better in context), so I'm not really gonna judge these videos on those merits (although I think Dorian and Sera at least sound like they can pull of funny, if that makes any sense).

Anyway, I just wanted to point out to all those that are unhappy that they would focus on these characters when some of them have been repeatedly highlighted in the past- these videos are not just for those of us who have been following the game all year. BW is clearly ramping up its marketing to reach casual and new fans who have no idea that Iron Bull and Sera were featured in a video shown at E3, or even that the information given in the trailer can be found on the website. I'd bet a lot of money I don't have that they there will be at least two more videos to show off the other six companions.

Sera has a strong punk/DIY aesthetic that I can appreciate. Her attitude belies her lethal skills. I like about her.

To me, Sera comes off as one of those characters who are immature on purpose?

She kind of reminds me of Kai from Heavenly Sword, except perhaps not as insane,
from what we've seen so far. She makes killing into a game, so she can enjoy herself
as if she were having fun.
