Hellu guys. I'm going to play the game on my PS3 but I have that "Will i get the most out of the experience" kinda feeling. Are you guys feeling sad that the graphics etc is not optimal? Or do you not even care about it?

I honestly couldn't imagine playing this game on a last gen console. It's a game that screams for you to play it on current generation consoles or a PC, if possible. But I do hope that everyone who is unable to play it that way still enjoys the game, as I've no doubt that the story and characters are going to be great regardless of how you choose to experience them.

They didn't show a single PS3/X360 video, so I have to say I'm a little bit worried.

But I don't expect the game to be ultra inferior to the current gen and PC versions.

This.

In yesterday's stream, Cameron seemed to imply the game isn't even running at a full 30fps on PS360.

I worry about the state of the last-gen versions, though I very much doubt BioWare will bother showing them before launch.

And here I was thinking (after watching the PS4 stream).... "Those PS4 graphics look very flat and bland. Maybe I should be investing in a new PC GPU"

No, I can't imagine playing this on a PS3 or 360. I rememeber playing The Last of Us on PS3 last year (a very linear game with small open areas), and the PS3 was screaming for air as the game chugged at 25fps.

This game running on the PS3/360 will not be a pretty sight...

The entire story will be there. All the gameplay will be there. It'll have worse performance and graphics, but that's to be expected with older hardware.

I was planning on buying the 360 version, but then my 360 was destroyed under circumstances I'm not entirely clear on. Fortunately, I was able to save up for a gaming PC, so I'll still be able to play.

Xbox 360 here. PC broke down and no $$$ for a new PC. No interest in next-gen just yet (not a big enough library yet, and why upgrade when I have all I need with what I have). Plus, I still like my 360, no interest in giving it up or stop buying available game versions for it just yet. That's just me though :)

I really do think EA should make a next-gen upgrade offer with this game, but I also don't see that happening at all.

I will be playing on the ps3 and not concerned about how it will look. I will be getting a ps4 just before release for my lady friend.

I just don't have the money to upgrade at the moment.

However, I have been waiting for this game for about 3 years now. So I will be playing this game on PS3. The developers said that the game plays the exact same, the graphics are just downgraded.

PS3 games still look amazing so I'm pretty sure that the game will still look really good, just not next generation good.

When I have the money I'll upgrade, but for now I'll be sticking with my PS3, If I don't compare it to PS4 then I'm pretty sure I'll think the game looks amazing.

Graphics have never been a deciding factor for me, so it's not a big deal.  Now, if the game glitches out or lags all the time on PS3, that would be a problem.

I'm playing it on the 360 and I'm not worried about it whatsoever. The graphics are cool or whatever, but they're nothing compared to what they'll look like in a few years. Then I'll fork over the cash for a next gen console. It will look fine on 360. I do recommend that anyone with a 360 use a HDMI cable. That makes a world of difference.

Edit: I've watched some videos a month or so ago with the splitscreen between 360 and Xb1 during the latest Battlefield game, using the same engine as DA:I. The differences were minimal from my perspective. They weren't enough to warrant forking over 400 bucks to play only one game of interest on next gen.

I'll be looking to buy the PS4 when Elder Scrolls 6, Dragons Dogma 2, Mass Effect 4, Dragon Age 4, and Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out.

I am not worry. I expect the game to run better and look better on next gen consoles. I am not expecting anything huge in terms of graphics. Even the max setting of the PC they showed I didn't come away too impress.

I have a nasty habit of not getting next Gen consoles until all the kinks have been worked out, their libraries are pretty well stocked with a few titles that could be considered next gen Killer Apps chest thumping their alpha  status from  the treetops. Since that has yet to happen i'm perfectly happy to stick with my XB360 crappy graphics or no especially when a developer I trust as much as Bioware assures me they have not skimped out on story or gameplay unlike some other formerly trusted devs I could mention.

Ps3 will be just as fine. I don't get a need to update every time a new console comes out. Plus money can get abit tight at times, specially this time of year being the holiday season after all.

The game will be playable and complete.    That is about all you can say about it on the old generation stuff.   If you are going to be playing on 10 year old equipment though, you can't exactly expect it to look and perform as well as modern equipment.

Its like watching the movie Avatar on an old black and white TV.   You will get the full story, but its just not the same as seeing it on a 70" modern HDTV.

I'm getting the PS3 version. If in the future I get a PS4 and *really* love the game, I might buy it again (it'll be like £10 new by then anyway).

Same.

I honestly do not see the point in buying a next gen console just for Dragon Age Inquisition. DA:I isn't pushing the absolute limits of the next gen console - plus it's a cross gen release at the genesis of next gen hype. It's typically best to wait until there's a good handful of next gen exclusive games that you *must* have.

And, after all the demo footage I've seen, I really don't care about the graphics in DA:I. To add, there's a small degree of toony-ness to Dragon Age due in part to its stylization. And I'm totally fine with that. (I prefer stylized over "realistic" anyway. I think my favorite style is the "comic book" graphics that TellTale uses. Give me that over realism any day. I'm good without the uncanny valley, thnx.  :) )

I'll be playing DA: I on the PS3. No console upgrade for me in the foreseeable future. Not worried about the quality, as long as it's playable, and I can enjoy what I have with what I got.

I'm exactly the same on that! Until they have a much greater library, I see absolutely no reason to buy an entire gaming console for something i'm not going to play but 1 game on!.

360 here (as I believe we've discussed) and not regretting the decison. I wish i had a top of the line PC, but alas, even more money would be shelled out for that.... I'm too poor for ths stuff lol

Can't wait for some DAMP! Wish Derek could play with us though :(

Same with me and the 360. I just do not have the money to go next gen right now. I just had to replace my 360 a few months ago when the disc reader burned out, and, since there's no backwards compatibility, I had the choice of continuing to play my library of 360 games or just play one or two PS4 games. Bit of a no brainer, especially considering how much I enjoy the library from the PS360 era.

Though I am in the market for a new PC, so I'll probably start at least picking up PC and platform options when finances allow once that comes in. But for now, I'll make do on the 360. I'm not about the graphics so much as the story, so even if the graphics aren't as good as they'd be on the newer systems, I'm sure to enjoy the game.
