Unfriended, blocked, and reported.   :police:  :police:  :police:

I would also love to contribute to the thread topic but I have never gotten good with any kit. We cannot speak of that which we do not know.

Well i have gone trough the list and in fact, i like most of them. Maybe demolisher, saboteur and volus are the one i don't like much. Salarian is not very fun too.

So a girl that chucks grenades, fires full auto and constructs additional pylons is not your cup of tea? That's good, right? Leaves more of them for me.

It's hard to remember the mindset I was in before I understood the mechanics of powers and combos. I've no idea how I got through the SP (twice), knowing next to nothing about how combat actually works, but I did. I suppose it's that easy.

I played dozens of failed bronze solos on white with vanilla human soldier before I dared look for company. Novaguard was the first class I kinda mastered, and after that, the asari vanguard - though I played her as a stasis sniper for the longest time. Don't remember the transition to silver, but I stayed there for months, mostly playing different biotic kits in different silly ways. I remember using duration and bonus power on the cloak of my asari huntress, and giving her light-weight weapons for faster power recharge, heh.

It was the turian sentinel with the harrier and incendiary ammo who brought me to gold, and later to platinum. I used to build him without warp in those days, and that's about the only thing I'd do differently now. I don't play him often anymore, not sure why. Still love him.

At the time I transitioned to gold, I started watching video guides, and that made a world of difference. But it was playing with a skilled friend who had the patience to teach/train me that got me to actually start thinking I know how to play this game. In a few months of gold with him, I went through pretty much all the kits and weapons, got my BotB, and eventually started playing platinum.

My first plat character was the fury, strangely enough. I didn't do horribly bad with her, considering, but soon I switched back to my safe old bet and ran with the turian sentinel for a while. Then I got phantom'd one time too many and started looking at more maneuverable kits. If I had to name three favorites right now, I'd go with justicar (acolyte), geth engineer (falcon) and salarian infiltrator (javelin).

I didn't start playing this game until December 2013.

I was one of those terrible players who played the Geth Juggernaut (which I got in my "welcome pack") over and over and Silver and Gold. Once I realized it was teaching me bad habits, I dropped the Jug and move on to...

... the Asari Huntress. This was the first character I felt was really contributing to Gold matches in a positive way. The combination of Tactical Cloak (less incoming damage) and massively powerful Dark Channel DOT meant that even my substandard equipment and shoddy aim couldn't hold me back too much.

Turian Sentinel also became a frequent pick because he's good at everything.

I played some Platinum here and there, but I didn't truly feel comfortable doing it until I went back to the good old Human Sentinel (a/k/a "tanky Asari Adept without Statis"). Heck, any class with Warp is viable on Platinum!

These days I try to rotate among the classes, though I still find myself playing Asari Huntress, Human Sentinel, and Turian Sentinel more than anything else.

Early on, the Human Soldier, Human Engineer, and Krogan Soldier were my noob kits.  Mattock and arc pistol were weapons of choice.  Learned about biotics from the Human Sentinel.  Been away and back twice to MP.  Actually enjoyed playing most all of the kits to complete various challenges.  Discovered some fun kits I probably would not have thought of as fun--Drell Adept, Slayer, Volus Engineer.  It was the Krogan and Turian Sentinel kits that saw me through my gold solos for lone wolf.  Geth Engineer (James Bond build--suppressor) and Geth Infiltrator (black widow) are current frequently used kits. The Destroyer is a fun kit--keep respec'ing it (HML, no HML, Dev mode, no Dev mode, etc)  Also, the Huntess is my favorite powers kit (dark channel!).  My clear all-time favorites are the Turians hands-down--Soldier, Sentinel, Havoc, TGI--with harrier, saber, or BPP.  Love the Turians!!    Now if I could just get dark channel on the Turian Sentinel...   :)

Just tried this idea I got from TechnoTurian:  TSOL with Venom and BPP   Ha Ha Ha!!  Perhaps THE perfect Kit.  Have to try it on the TSENT.

My very first character was the Human Engineer because my first playthrough through the series was as an Engineer. For the first few matches I didn't know how combos worked but after getting the hang of it this was my go-to character while my manifest was being put together. I can still do well with him on Gold.

As I unlocked characters, there were some along the way that provided a spike in my ability to play better and push the higher difficulties. They were,

Vorcha Soldier

Geth Trooper

Phoenix Adept

N7 Shadow

Juggernaut

Asari Huntress

Drell Assassin Infiltrator

N7 Slayer

Krolord

Destroyer

Phoenix Vanguard

But my favourites have to be the Smashbros, the Slayer and the Novaguard. Alongisde these, the Drell Infiltrator, Asari Huntress and the Destroyer would be my go to on Platinum (which I have never completed because of disconnects/lag).

I'd take the Slayer to Platinum too were it not for the off-host lag which doesn't seem to affect Smashguard and Novaguard too much.

I started playing a couple weeks after the game launched had to find out how the series ends.
My starting kit was the Female Quarian Engineer still love her to this day. Never really played any of the kits except for her or the Asari Adept or vanguard. I tried other kits as the DLC came out and couldn't find one I liked until the Fury, Valkyrie and Huntress came out.
My weapons of choice are the hurricane, talon, and the eagle.

My first playthrough in ME1 was with a pistol-marksman infiltrator. I stuck with infiltrators through the entire series. When it came to MP I started with the human inf. Did not like it.

Went with the Salarian Inf. Once I got the knack of energy drain headshots I started to love it. I'd sit back while my roommate played a salarian eng with decoy.

I liked the concept of the Geth when they first came out, but didn't care the playstyle or hunter mode. (How amusing that is now that I'm hopelessly addicted to Geth Scanner)

I stopped playing for Rebellion and Earth, and came back around Retaliation. That's when I got neck deep into the game. Started playing the Paladin almost non stop. Was determined to get great with the kit. Once I felt like I had gotten the knack for it I went on a BOTB bender. After that I went on a volus kick. Still love the volus engineer with a scorpion.

Now I either default to a "go2" kit or try something batshit random I see on here and want play with.

Human Engineer was the first kit I played and I still love it. Quarian Ice Queen was the kit I unlocked from my Starter Pack and she's been one of my favourite kits ever since. But my true love is Asari Adept, with Geth Engineer being right behind her. GE and Asari Justicar were probably my first go-to kits on Gold.

I couldn't play less mobile kits like turians or krogans at all at the beginning, but in the latter half of my "career" I've really come to appreciate the old guard turians and I can be reasonably effective with the krogans too, even if they're some of my weaker kits.

Krogans since day 1 have been my favorite, and with each DLC they got better, and got better at what they're supposed to be good at: MELEE! The Warlord, hands down my favorite kit!

The N7 Slayer was a disappointment for me; I expected a hard-hitting, CQC (like cutscene Thane, but with more power in his hits) character. The sword & teleports were cool, but it never lived up to what I wanted, and the heavy melee's tracking is..."problematic ". Still a great kit, I love getting triple BEs with Biotic Slash, and slashing crowds to bits! The P.D. buff turned him into Spam-Zilla, and he should've had a unique melee tree!

Turians, sadly, Garrus messed that up for me; he's just too damn cold! But, then came the Havoc...MELEE!!!

Batarians, the story made me dislike 'em, but thanks to MP; they took on this whole new badass persona! I try to enslave as many things as possible when I play as 'em! I even managed to buy some Vorchas for Doritos--best two chips I've ever spent! Because of their awesome melee, and complete disregard for your want of grenades, I really enjoy playin' 'em! ...Despite the fact they look like Freedy Kruger & a Ferengi made a bit too much love.

Human Sentinel. I used to play this kit all the time when I first started.

Quarian Engineer. I somehow landed in my first Gold game (in progress) with her and while I didn't come first, I didn't come last. lol

Asari Justicar. She was my got to girl when I began to play Gold regularly.

SI Widow, that's pretty much how I learned how to play gold. Now I either run with a Venom or a Claymore with him.

Also my GI. I had power damage and damage spec for HM back then. Now it's just weapon bonus, speed and vision.

My DI Michael Bay build with 45656 Venom build. Now it's 66666 because I like to snipe and fkn respec cards are hard to come by.

I absolutely hated the smash bros, turns out I just had no idea how to use them

I didn't stop playing FBWGG until I got the AA, and then I played FBWGG even more because I finally had the best most awesome kit in the game. And that was actually before BSN so I'm kinda proud for recognizing her potential on my own. Good now all I needed was a Paladin pistol cause Carny just didn't cut it for me so eventually that happened also.
At first I wanted the bubble then I found out I can do without so from 6/6/6/4/4 to 3/6/6/5/6 and some other combinations.

But then as I was getting better and better at this combo playstyle, and with the arrival of DLCs, I started fantasizing about my perfect biotic.

Back then I was very keen on having a fast hit scan primar and two detonators - one projectile the other hit scan...something like - warp, reave, and slam maybe..the accent was on relentless BEs with as little things to go wrong as possible.
But really what I fantasised was impossible, or so I thought because when the Fury came out I couldn't believe what they did. This monster was more than I ever hoped for.

She's mostly retired now because wifi<<<hard line but someday soon mark my words.

well... lets start with my most used kit ever. tsent.

when I first started playing it, I skipped warp.

overload was: damage, neural shock, jump. I figured the highest outright damage would be best. was under the impression the shield/barrier evo was additive like everything else was in the game, and doing more general damage would have been better than a little higher shield/barrier damage.

tech armor was: durability, power, power. for some added survivability and buffing overload.

class passive was: capacity, power damage, stability. added weapon damage and buffing overload.

fitness: full shields.

weapon was mattock, which I think is still an underrated weapon.

NOW, these days, 5/5/6/6/4

tech armor: durability, power

warp: detonate, expose

overload: jump, neural shock, shield/barrier

class passive: capacity, headshot, stability

fitness: durability

weapon is wraith, best weapon in the game.

In the beginning I always tried to make good work of Stasis. I got the Asari Adept early and when the Asari Vanguard joined in, I specced stasis, too. I tried many weapons, but nothing seemed to work out for me.

One day I took my time to read the power tree descriptions and I thought, how about taking that power synergy, maxing out grenades, taking a Hurricane with power amp and go right into the face of the enemy. I did away with stasis and no regrets.

That day I renamed her "B-52" - a particular fond moment with her was when I rescued a downed teammate. There was a Cannibal and you know they have always their mouth wide open. I ran in and tossed a grenade right into its face. It was overkill - but I had a good laugh when I watched the video footage.

I'd always played soldier right from ME1 all the way through.  So naturally tha's what I started with on MP, then during my first match an Asari Adept was running round hurling Biotic Death every where and I knew I wanted that

Naturally it was one of the last normal kits I unlocked.  However I got the Justicar and Geth Engineer in the Resurgence Packs the week after I started MP and they have both been firm favourites ever since.  Both were the entry kits into Gold and Platinum for me.

When I first play ME3MP, my fav kit was a Valkyrie-wielding HFE( the Valky was my 1st unlocked UR, by the way), pretty effective on Bronze, currently I use standard CSMG/Acolyte on her, sometimes with just Falcon for fun, too.

The Juggy was my first Gold/Plat kit, I've since known all the hate against Puggernauts, but this kit really helps when you have little choice at the start, after I get more chars/weapons, he was placed in airlock, with my sincere respect though.

Then came the Destroyer, he is my go-to kit after I unlocked every weapon in MP, simply straightforward and effective, maybe a little boring after a while, though. I completed half of my weapon challenges by playing him.

Then the Drell Assassin! If you ever saw one CSR-wielding DAI in 100 matches, that's me, just love the feeling of tearing though Plat enemies on him, he was my fav kit for a long time.

At this moment, it's hard to day I have any "all-time favorite" any more, melee kits, engineers, biotics... there're too many of them, I think it's part of the game's charm that keeps the MP experience still fresh for me.

Very true. There are 65 kits, so if you play a different one every game you will be pretty tired by the time you loop round to the kit you started with.
