I'd like to gather here all the info we know on the circle of Ostwick and the Trevelyan mage. I don't know about you bur my first character will be a mage and I enjoy lore. Thing is, we don't know much yet so I got a couple of questions I hope we answer here.

1)- What happens when a noble joins the Circle of Magi? The wiki page says you lose all claims to your family titles and land but my question is... what happens with you? does your family watch over you -the Trevelyans are influential within the Chantry- from afar, do they hate you because you are the black sheep of the family (being a mage and all...), do the other mages kow you are highborn? do they treat you different?

2)- Is Trevelyan aware of what happened in Kirkwall? I imagine the whole atmosphere to be like a bit tense like in Asunder.

3)- How long has the Trevelyan been in the Circle? How do you think the uprising will begin?

I hope to read your replies :)

I also plan human mage out the gate so great minds think alike haha

1) yes magi lose all inheritance(creates a common upringing for magi) but there are some who have support from the family the originate from(finn is one example who still a mage is close to his family and then theres bethany if shes sent to the circle is also close to the family due to proximity). So it possible that while a pious family the trevelyans are found of their child and use their pull to make their life in the circl pleasent.

2) most if not all southern circles of magi know of what happened kirkwall. If the ostwick circle was tense we wont know til release. But ot is lnown that the templars of the free marches somewhat sympatheize with the kirkwall branch to some extent but are aware that they are a extreme case

3)The average child sent to the circle is between 6-12 so depending how old the inq is (age is :20-40, mine is 22) so they are apart of the circle for at least 10 years. And i assume the uprising came as a suprise like everywhere else but the human inq escaped by either tunnels or fought his way through
