If they put an adoption system I want the option to take in Genlocks because not only are they kind of adorable in that demonic Chihuahua sort of way but would be useful in a fight as well.
In all seriousness though why would Bioware use resources to put in such a pointless system into a game that doesn't need it.
Kids are bad and boring. In games and in movies. No thanks!
But it is sure that having a baby with your love interest would make the game tricky to develop and to play and I'm not really sure it will be good for the game itself. Believe me or not, I'm not against it, I'm just a little suspicious...
because it isnt skyrim . In Skyrim , kids dont do much . The world scream a war going on , but you never see it . In DAI you gonna see it !
Yep. Reactivity in Skyrim is non-existant.
I don't see adoption happening. I think the game would be to streamlined to include anything like adoption. I'm not saying the game is like, let's say "The Last of Us" which had very little room for distraction. I'm saying that in every dragon age game, you go from one quest to the next with very little mucking about time. For example, in Skyrim, you could go out and do some mining, take the ore back and start building tons of stuff. Then go on and cook a meal. It doesn't really work that way in Dragon Age. Sure you collect resources which will let you craft new stuff but how often do you actually go off and do that.
- To be fair though, I'm thinking more about the previous games rather than DA:I. I know DA:I is a lot more open, I just don't know how open it has actually gotten. Is it like Skyrim or more like Fable. I do like the idea of adopting a child in Dragon Age, I just don't see it happening unless the game broadened out a lot more. But then perhaps it already is and I just haven't seen it yet. I don't know.
-- I'm just blabbering on now aren't I. For me, it's to early to say whether it's viable. Of course everyone has there own opinion on this issue but I prefer to get a good look on how the game will play out before I start asking for things like this. For example, adoption, property development (similar to Fables), etcetera.
--- Also, I'm currently at University right now and I'm dead tired and there's tons of crap going on, which is why I probably sound like I'm tired because I do actually feel dead... You don't need to know this...
This isn't either Fable or Skyrim. I don't think it fits to adopt a child when you're constantly out there fighting templars and demons. A child wouldn't be save close to you. I guess Skyhold even gets attacked at some point in the plot. You wouldn't want your child to be there when that happens.

That as well.

No i want to have fun in this game not get a annoying kid and if you want that crap go play the sims.
I see it un necessary to include adoption feature in dragon age I because with all the chaos that is surrounding you will not have time to look after the child and see how your husband/wife going.
I didn't mind Skyrim adoption feature but I would have prefer if you could have your own child and had the option to adopt a child if you wanted to.
In Skyrim you couldn't really do much with the child which I found pretty pointless of having the adoption feature in the first place.
Why only adopt human childern how come you couldn't adopt a Wood elf, High elf, Dark elf etc.
You would have the option to adopt kids from other races as well, I just forgot to add it to my original post ![]()

So if you do not want a kid do not adopt? And if you accidently got one wait for the attack and the kid will be no more... that got dark quickly

Normally I agree but I would not say no to the option though
Aerie's inventory child!
Or, as I like to call it, Backpack Bhaalspawn.
Excellent writing and usage of a concept, surely.
Can you sell it for coin? I could use some new armour.
I wish ![]()

I would really like to see adoption but the only thing I can see coming to my mind though for it to really work is adopt someone of age to train that person to fight and teach him values. where you can take the person out with you to fight in your party and make decisions and then you can talk to your adopted person when they ask you why you made that choice and you can tell them why and teach them at that point values and you can get to know the adopted person and their background and tell the adopted person what you disagree with their actions in the past they have made or a comment they have said but where the adopted person can also disagree with you and can get into arguments if the adopted person really don't believe what you said because of a past experience that the adopted person went through. if the adopted person have too much disagreements with you the adopted person also can leave you. I think this is the only idea I can come up with that will actually fit dragon age:inquisition.
I at least want the ability to talk about starting a family with your LI. Like Garrus and femshep in ME3 talking about having a Human-Turian/adopted Krogan baby except without being trolled by the ending right after.

Wouldn't you be getting trolled anyway since you will never be able to start a family, even after the main quest is concluded?
No thanks.

No. I don't need to see it, I just like the open possibility. In ME3 it was like "one day let's start a family" and then the game was like "lol j/k that can never happen."
I'd rather leave the children (adopted or your own) to imagination of the player and head canon.
It would be fun though to start a topic with your LI, and depending whi it it they would either be inddiferent to completely shocked and scared in a comical way
