From the creators of Tangled, Wreck It Ralph, and Frozen, Big Hero 6 is a story about a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada and his nurse robot Baymax who uncover a criminal plot and recruit a team of inexperienced crime fighters from friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, GoGo Tomago, and Fred to solve the mystery surrounding the crimes. Loosely based on the comics of the same name, this is the first Disney film to feature characters from the Marvel comics universe.

I find myself really wanting to watch this. Anyone else interested?

I like how they're not going to cash in on Frozen's success.

I liked all three of those films.

So might end up watching this.

I think this film will appeal to loads. Marvel fans, Disney fans, tech-geeks, you name it. Hoping they can follow up on Frozen's success.

It doesn't have to sell as well, it just has to be good. And it might just be. :)

I've said before in the Frozen thread that I just love Disney's animation style with these things. So that's enough to make me give it a look.

If they pull elements of the better Marvel movies and combine it with Disney's charm, I think they could be onto a winner here.

And if it counts for the folks that aren't a fan of the musical type Disney flicks, this isn't a musical. :P

Also, this film is supposed to have a ridiculous amount of easter eggs.

I'm sure the *Clears throat*

Rise of the Frozen, Tangled, Guardians that Train Brave Dragons (Is that their name now? I don't know anymore) Tumblr fanbase will assimilate this film into their collective.

As for me, it looks good. I'll probably see it and like it, especially if they have the Age of Ultron trailer in it like I've been predicting.

His brother is probably the guy in the Kabuki mask though.

I can't wait to see this film because Disney is quite literally the greatest cinema company of all time. Every fiber of my being aches while this movie is still unreleased.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I'm worried that it won't do well however, due to coming out around the same time as several other big films (I'm thinking mainly of the new Hunger Games movie and Interstellar).

I'm pretty sure I will be the only person going to see Interstellar on opening night...

Only way to help it is to go see it so I might be in for a theater visit.

I haven't watched a straight up Disney movie really in about 9 years. But this looks pretty good.

Seeing as how it's part of the Marvel franchise I wonder if organizations such as Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D will be briefly mentioned?

That'd be asking for too much, I doubt you'll get anything like that. Big Hero 6 will be its own thing without mention of any other property, but you might find easter eggs laying about I'm sure.

Nah, you're not the only one. Disney's moved on from the hand drawn animation now though, and I think people(at least young kids growing up) will enjoy the new style.

I thought I'd have a look around to see which cinema's would be showing this and when given that its out in not too long...

Only to find its not out till sometime in January for the UK. So I might be a bit behind on my opinion of this one.

*sigh* miss the traditional Disney film, not this CG garbage that they have been doing. Disney has really lost their way.

Don't expect any important themes, awesome songs, memorable music or dark villains guys! Disney seems to have moved away from that ages ago.

Frozen proved that false with the praise for its themes, songs(especially), memorable music(especially), and yes, villain. So it appears they haven't moved away at all.

Dunno about Big Hero 6 and how its villain/s will stack up, but thats for later.

Much later, in some cases. Hah, sorry brah. But you'll see it before then I'm sure, and if you like it you can go to the theatre to pay for it like I did with Frozen. :)

Frozen is like Avatar, incredibly overrated.
