Frozen is like Avatar, incredibly overrated.

That comes off as a weighty exaggeration, but to each their own. I could barely handle Avatar. I will agree that there is an insane overpopularity with the Frozen franchise.

*sigh* miss the traditional Disney film

I do miss it. Nostalgia Critic once theorized that Fully-3D films a la CG are easier for audiences to accept than classical stuff they've done early on. The last one we had was, Princess and the Frog?

Right. Big Hero 6. It'll probably be one of the better Disney films. My hype level isn't more than low to moderate, but I could be proven wrong soon enough. I see an entertaining film. Outside of a 2 minute preview, I won't be able to tell much more than that.

I see "Following in the footsteps of those who passed" + "Cartoony Amon with unknown motive". Also, Comic Relief-Bot.

Thats how you should go into it. The folks(like me) who love Frozen didn't go in thinking it was gonna be God's gift to films, and then we were blown away.

It's all about those expectations. Just go in with middling expectations and if the movie's great, it'll shock you in a good way.

I don't hate CGI( loved GttG because the CGI was done great) my problem is when it's overused and Disney is simply overusing it. I want another traditional animations like we got from Princess and the frog. Sure it was not as good as the classics but what made it special was it went back to the traditional style and had that magic that all these recent Disney films are lacking imo.

Also Keith David.

It works the other way around too. I for one have no problem with either animation style. Paperman is one of my favourite animations ever, and it uses both CGI and traditional animation. I think they should do it more often, but perhaps it might be too costly for Disney

Y'all are aware this is their new style right? They're not doing hand drawn films like the old days anymore. Its not overuse, its change. They've outright put the style of hand drawn animation in the past.

I liked Wreck It Ralph, this looks like it could be cool. I don't really like the art style, too uncanny, but whatev.

And I don't like it. They should have left the CGI films to Pixar where we had traditional and CGI, now it's just CGI and it's simply boring.

Tbf, the best animated film of the past few years is The Lego Movie.

Which was CG stylized to look like Stop-motion.

So there is merit to the art form.

Reviewing what the preview is implying, I'd like to toss out a theory. Looking at the ingredients, This feels reminiscent of one video game.

They'll probably dig more into the other characters if they do a sequel.
