The Elder One? Hard to say. If it's a rage killing machine, Chaotic Evil. If is a malice entity who like complex plot, Lawful Evil. If embody the purity of evil and act like some sort of obscure "force of nature", Neutral Evil.

Bah, I hate alignments. People can't be categorized so easily.
In D&D aligments are needed because evil and good are ment to be objective. So, for example, you have chormatic dragons, a race always evil (like many others). In a world where good and evil are relative, you have to change some rules and many spells. But for sure, a system like this is far more realistic and intriguing.

Seen a lot of people calling Cole Neutral or Chaotic Neutral, but based on what we've seen so far -- "It doesn't matter that they won't remember me. What matters is I helped." -- he's Neutral Good. We left him on a dark note in Asunder, but everything he's done has been to help people, if early on in a distorted way. Siding with the mages over templars is somewhat Chaotic, I suppose, but not enough that I'd define him as that.
It's clear that Cole is capable of making decisions, as other spirits are. Ones like Justice twisted and developed, and Cole doesn't even have an original "idea" anymore. He's very much his own person, even if that personhood is somewhat cribbed off some random mage. Ergo, alignments should apply in full-force. He does not simply "exist", in the ways that most people born do not simply exist.

Really? Almost sure Cassandra is more Lawful neutral. She didn't want to save the villiage, that sort of crosses her out for Lawful good right?
But my list...
Lawful Good...
Blackwall
Josephine
Neutral Good...
Cole
Varric
Chaotic Good...
Sera
Dorian?
True neutral...
Solas
leliana (at least this new one)
Chaotic neutral...
Iron Bull
Lawful neutral...
Vivivenne
cassandra
Cullen

I will be very surprised (and likely disappointed) if Blackwall turns out to be Lawful Good. I definitely see him as being Neutral Good.
Few Grey Warden's - especially Grey Wardens holding a notable position - would be able to hold the LG stance and still be able to make the kind of decisions that would put the well-being of Thedas over the laws that govern each country. The really hard decisions in that position are not always going to be lawful.. and would sometimes require actions that are anything but lawful. A very simple example was Duncan's killing of Ser Jory - not lawful by any stretch of the imagination, yet a necessary sacrifice for the Warden's secret to be kept.
In my opinion the change in the Grey has left Blackwall disgusted because it's possibly driving Wardens down a path that diverges from that of putting the good of Thedas at the forefront (which Blackwall wholeheartedly believes in) and honoring their code, to that of garnering greater power for the Wardens at the expense of others (including Thedas); the cause becomes much more selfish. I can't say much more because I don't know the details and am just speculating, obviously, but if true, that path could potentially raise conflicts with certain countries that grow suspicious or feel threatened by the fact that the order is taking their 'above persecution by the law' status to questionable levels. Volatility and politics - two things the wardens were meant to avoid like the plague.
EDIT to add: Personally I don't think that any of the characters are Lawful Good -- or at least it's very hard to be considering everything the Inquisition likely involves itself with, including conflicting laws of different countries -- though Cassandra may be close and if created as a character in D&D would surely be cast as such. Just because you're of a certain alignment (particularly LG), doesn't mean that every decision you ever make has to be in line with that (that would be rather inhuman considering all our flaws), it just means that you don't make a habit of straying from it (or redeem or shift alignments if that becomes an issue), and definitely avoid making decisions that are the polar opposite of it.

They cant. But the alignment system was more like a guideline and a roleplaying tool which also affected gameplay.

My bet: People are going to be disappointed if they think Blackwall is Lawful Good. They must've believed Wynne's children's stories.
Or they let Alistair color their views on what the Warden order was about.
Based on what little I know I'm going to guess the following:
Lawful Good:
Josephine
Neutral Good:
Blackwall
Cassandra
Lelianna
Varric
Chaotic Good:
Cole
Dorian
Sera
Lawful Neutral:
Cullen
Vivienne
True Neutral:
Solas
Chaotic Neutral:
Ironbull
I don't think any party member is necessarily "evil." Even though some may be quick to label Vivienne "Lawful Evil" simply because she's ambitious from what's been said, she's only Pro-Status Quo. Cassandra I don't find to be Lawful Netrual because from everything that's been said, she'll break the rules if she doesn't agree with them.
