If not Dagna, an older wiser Finn would be a good candidate in my opinion.

She does say that Meredith liked her due to her being very efficient and well-organized. Very good qualities for a library research assistant.

If we are actually getting a librarian, I want her to be able to wear glasses and mini-skirt..... 
Well they confirmed that Dagna will be returning in DA Inquisition.
However, her role in the game will be based on what action was taken for her side quest in DAO being if Dagna joined the Circle she will be a scholar and if she stayed with her father she will be a Blacksmith.
