Pretty sure. If you watch the char gen vids, you see the devs skip through the 'Select world state' screen. No external Web app involved. So once those states are set up, I need only log into my EA account, not the Keep to access them for 'importing' into my game? Awesome. I thought I had to open Keep itself or something. I'm in Beta and already have the saves i want for use so won't require anything more till 11/17
If the Keep server is down, can we still play the game?

I don't know who you're gonna call, but I'm gonna call EA to get my money back.
You are a true hero then. Not only does he believe in miracles, but he who makes miracles be fulfilled. Fighting against the forces of darkness is a perilous quest, expecially when you chose to by something from them.
I believe you can only start a new game with a default world state if the Keep server is down.
This one for sure.

I also want to reassure folks that the Keep will be available before November 17th. The devs did state that the players will get some time (a couple of weeks, if memory serves) to play with their world states before the game is ready for launch. Those of us on the forums should be fine, since we'll know as soon as they release the date for the Keep open Beta. It'll be the rest of the population that doesn't know about this that will be flooding the site.
@Battlemage Good luck with that. The folks that bought the most recent SimCity didn't get a refund, and their game was buggy and broken from the start. You aren't getting a refund from EA because of the Keep. Besides, unless you signed a deal with the devil in blood, I'm pretty sure that most sites will let you cancel your pre-order. Instead of being silly and asking for a refund on a game that isn't out yet, just declare "PRE-ORDER CANCELLED!" and be done with it.

If DA:I is anything like a MMO launch day, the servers are going down. Hope not.

The Keep servers going down due to overload on release day is actually one of my bigger fears for this game.
Almost makes me want to not go VPN and actually stick with the EU release date, just to minimize the chance of me having the game ready but not wanting to play it due to not having my save...

From my experience SWTOR had a good start, it got a little more problematic after two or three days after the launch. If anything the release on Europe could actually be a lot more hard than the North-American one.
Or maybe everything is gonna to be smooth and there will be not rage like Diablo 3 hue

I remember that (I was there on launch day.) The AU and EU servers had the most trouble, but the US servers were fine. Since they are releasing the Keep before launch, they are obviously trying to mitigate any chance of the Error 34 issue from D3.

You'll need to visit the keep to select the next worldstate each time.

Given the numbers in now and the time frame I'm sure they can cope, hopefully they are using things like cloudflare and AWS
