Do you think there is any chance we might see an expansion with some sort of PVP map?

No, it's not Bioware's MP model.

Also, it would require a complete rebalance of all abilities because PVP restrain you in what you can do and how you give the power to the players.

Furthermore, in my experience PVP bring the worst in people, I like the way Bioware made it coop only.

+1 to hope not or everything will have to be re-balanced to be identical.

They could give us the option to enable friendly fire.

No. Bioware has said no, so no.

And pleased that it's no.

The Inquisition fights together not divided.

Yes to pvp! All haters can simply ignore.

And all the PVP fans can ignore how horribly unbalanced the game is for that mode, and the vast amount of effort that it will require to balance it that could be better spent on improving the existing multiplayer and working on DLC.

Because all co-op players are scrubs and afraid of fighting a real person, or osmething.

could just make a entirely separate cast of characters and skills for pvp so people don't abuse the reaver.

personally its not a pvp style to the game ME3 had more a chance of that happening and even then not too good.

Have you tried that in ME3MP with the mod? It just turned in to who can fire his cobra missile first...

I'd certainly play pvp. As long as it's only coop I'll try to solo it as I did with Mass Effect's multiplayer.

DAI multiplayer was designed around coop PVE, which mean all skills and balance involved were choosen to achive coop PVE gameplay.

You don't activate PVP to get good PVP experience; the whole game and skills have to be carefully thought for PVP exeperience.

As pointed above, including PVP would greatly impact PVE.

There is already thousands upon thousands games with PVP... better left PVP for game designed for that purpose, like MOBAs, and let other games not designed for PVP as non PVP games.

I don't want PvP anywhere near DA:Inquisition.

There are hundreds of games out there that have PvP and only a small few with good co op.

I like the near universal no that this thread has going on.

It's so much nicer than the 15 pages of "lolubadatpvp" that the Mass Effect 3 versions had.

No, but if people keep asking it a thousand more times it'll appear magically in the game. It's blood magic, though:

Blood sugar baby
I'm magic
Blood magic, blood magic!
Blood sugar crazy
I have it
Blood magic, blood magic!

I feel my body is getting ready for DAMP.

Only way it would work without having to balance, would be to only put you in matches with the same class.

I wouldn't mind a friendly fire (as long as its optional)  and dueling though

Not a chance.

It would require alot of rework and re-balancing for all skills and PvE areas aswell.

That and the BSN community is a little "sensitive" and doesn't like any form of aggressive behaviour, so getting stomped by a pre-made group or a better player or dying to a cheesy and/or unbalanced skill would send the BSN community into a frothing frenzy.

You should have seen the MEMP forums and that was co-op with all players on the same team, scary stuff.

No. It'd be like what would happen if you face a bunch of starting tier characters from the ME3 multiplayer (You know, the ones where you pretty much only used the vanguard and then stopped using them almost entirely?) vs the hardened vet classes like the N7's with top items. Unless the MP got turned into something reminiscent of TF2 it'd be pretty hard to make that many specializations balanced.

This has already been discussed at length in this thread: http://forum.bioware...3#entry17380698.

However, to sum-up my argument from said prior thread: While PvP would make little sense in the context of this game, I would not be adverse to it's inclusion in future DA titles, but it would have to be handled with kid-gloves, specifically how "balancing" would impact abilities and race/class variability.

So short answer: No, not in this game.

You wouldn't have to alter the PvE side of the game at all.

You could make PvP however you wanted, new races, skills, weapons ,armour etc etc the options are lim1tless and none of them would have to impact the PvE side of the game in any way.

As for playing other games that are PvP, well they aren't DA which seems to have a really big following and many players that imo would love to get their PvP fix from DA rather than other sources.

Obviously it would be a massive project and isn't going to happen in Inquisition but i don't think it's something that should just be put down immediately and thought of as something that will just screw with what we already have but could be something that would make the game far better for even more people in the future.

I haven't played any of the DA games, Inquisition will be my first, so maybe that's where my open minded thinking comes from but i think the idea has merit and while a massive undertaking it also presents some incredible possibilities for the future.
