The Murder Knife from Dragon Age Origins (and the one Merril pulls out to knife the Keeper with oddly enough) was a well-purposed item. The tiny butter knife we had in Dragon Age 2 was utterly underwhelming. It would have only been a killing stroke if it was used on the throat, it should not have been able to one-shot Anders in the back or a Skeleton in the skull for Andraste' sake. I hope they just let us kill people with our weapons, the things we keep for killing people in the first place.

if the murder knife was a Playable character the enemies would kill themselves rather then face him, because they know running is useless.

Murder Knife was cool but it'd make more sense to just run people through with our swords or daggers. Or set them on fire if you're a mage. Neck snapping qunaris would be nice too
