Damn what's with all the tranquil Feynriel's?! It's not that hard to save the guy c'mon people! Tevinter dreamer FTW!

For the player, no.  It's pretty clearly telegraphed.  For the character, maybe.  I had a Hawke who was sufficiently wigged out by his experience in the Fade that he had a hard time dealing with the demons and wound up making Feynriel Tranquil.  He felt awful about it.  Yay roleplaying.

In my first playthrough, though, Feynriel is being a badass in Tevinter.

Ok, I don't know how many other ways there are to tell you "I chose the dialogue options that led him to beg to be made Tranquil on purpose because that's why I intended to the whole time," so here's a last attempt: I chose the dialogue options that led him to beg to be made Tranquil on purpose because that's why I intended to the whole time. I wanted this result. I got it. Hurray.

Here, you have a heart too: <3 Fresh out from the basement where I keep all my jars, this one probably belonged to a Tranquil mage so you can love it and care for it and nurture it back to health while I go out hunting for a few more to replenish my stocks, and we both can go back to playing our games the way we want to.

He was right to call you a heartless shrewd! But meh tranquility can be cured now and just so you wait when he gets merged with Justice! (Kinda sure you killed Anders with that attitude towards mages) then this happens

I generally send Feynriel to Tevinter in game. With the Keep, I may make some varied world states just to see if things change depending on what you do with him.

But I have a hard time making someone tranquil simply based on a threat they may pose.

No you failed to warn Feynriel properly. You are warned that if you are not convincing enough when you converse with Feynriel as her mother and First Enchanter Orsioni he will trip. That's exactly what happened, bub.

No, what happened is I didn't pull any punches. I told him that what he was seeing was a dream. He couldn't handle that. Tranquil.

Me too. The boy asked for tranquility, Hawke saw it as a mercy so granted it to him as The Keeper warned he should if things got out of hand.

He didn't really want to be in the fade anyway, but felt he had a duty to try as he was the one that sent the boy the Circle. Sadly the boy proved incapable of controlling the demons pestering him. He would have been a danger to all mundanes.

Tranquil.

That can be a fair point but its the fade we are talking about. You need to give demons a taste of their own medicine. How do you think Morrigan so easily avoids any sort of temptation from demons whatsoever. You need to know their tricks and even trick them back if needed.

Wow, I didn't realise there were so many cutthroat jerks here.

In the Keep I'll mark him as going to Tevinter. Wonder if the Mage he's apprenticed to was Dorian before he left.

Feynriel's master is a Magister and Dorian isn't one.

Tevinter

But not sure about this decision. We all know what tevinter involves, but my hawke has confidence in him. Maybe he comes as another Dorian, who knows,  let's have some faith in him. And if he can't be trusted, well, tranquility is always a solution, my inquisitor knows that.

Obviously planning on seeing how he can use Fenyriel's powers to eliminate his rivals.

Not all Magisters are evil people even Fenris states that there are some good ones. I think even varric is friends with one if I recall.

We're talking about, pottentialy, the most dangerous mage in the world who happens to be an impressionable teenager.
Under which circunstances is sending him to the nation best known for corrupting mages a good idea?

Definitely made him Tranquil. No one needs the kind of power if they can't control their emotions or invade the minds of random girls.

Considering he saved a women with his powers after sending him there lets see what happens in inquisition before we judge.

He also invaded her dreams and seduced her with magic to the point of insanity. I wouldn't be surprised if he orchestrated the whole affair.

I'm almost positive that wasn't the case, given that the entire quest was played for laughs.

Did he? I've heard much more disturbing things spoken by supposedly un-hexed Kirkwallers.

I don't know. That whole situation came off as pretty creepy to me.

And what fate would it be?
