There really isn't anything like Mass Effect out there. You can have games that get some of it. Like Halo and the Sci-Fi epic. Other RPGs like Bioware's own Dragon Age allow you to create your character and make your story, some games have great characters, etc...
But Mass Effect had it all. And even now, some many years and so many playthrough later, its "magic" still surprises me. It just has something that no other game have.
Am I tired of waiting for the next Mass Effect? Not exactly, simply because I don't feel I'm waiting for it just yet, I'm waiting to come one day here and see "Next Mass Effect announced!". That I look foward everytime. Hopefully this N7 day will have something memorable.

There are lots of amazing games out there! The next Mass Effect is being worked on, but the wait for it is not done in the least. I don't know what kinds of games you're into, but there's something for everyone out there right now. Without meaning to be this a plug, Dragon Age: Inquisition is less than a month away, and that game is looking to be huge! Maybe that could keep you busy?

I fiddled around with Grim Dawn, the new Indie game that's not completed yet. So far its pretty fun, even if nothing at all like ME. Its more Diablo-esque in nature. I never thought I would donate to a startup, but those cats have some real talent.
