Hey Devs,

Could someone please clarify which weapons will be available for the "Flames of the Inquisition" pre-order bonus?

The descriptions says:

"Multi-class Weapons: Smite your enemies with the Flames of the Inquisition weapons arsenal. Whether staff or daggers, greatsword or war hammer, these weapons will make short work of your foes."

However, the imagery of the weapons showcases: a shield (not mentioned), staff, daggers, sword and what looks like 2h sword without a point or a warhammer.

http://help.ea.com/e...pre-order-info/

Also, some of the images on the DA:I website showcase all of the above weaponry including the inquisition armor and the 2h definitely looks more like a warhammer than a sword. If it's supposed to be a greatsword it's just an odd art choice to me to have it without a point at the end, aside from that the aesthetic of the weapon is very cool just the lack of a traditional point at the end throws me off. Could definitely see that as a warhammer.

Could someone please confirm if there will be a 2h sword in the gear, or if what has been shown is the actual greatsword, that there will be a greathammer?

Thanks,

Ser Rune

I think we saw the great sword used at one point, though I am not positive on that. I don't remember seeing a war hammer, but it is possible that it just hasn't shown up in gameplay or promotional art yet.

You will get a set of armor, and weapons for each class, i believe thats a sword/sheild, Greatsword, daggers, bows, staff, but i don't think we get a mace/maul/hammer/axe/great axe.

You will also get the blueprints for the weapons and armor. Mike said that in one of the streams with cameron.

One caveat: here in the US, all of the retailers that I know of (including Origin, EA's own store) are saying that the armor only comes with the deluxe edition of the game. The pre-order bonus for the standard edition is just the arsenal (i.e. weapons). Yes, the link to EA's site above says that pre-orders of the standard edition get all Flames gear (arsenal, armor, and mount), but there's a little disclaimer stuck in there with an asterisk that says pre-order bonuses vary by country, which means you're not guaranteed to get everything listed.

Anyhow, here's a pic of the weapons for the OP:

The 2-hander is third from the right, between the staff and bow. The devs were said to have mentioned that there will be different styles of weapon-swinging for default attacks (I seem to recall "sweepy" daggers and "stabby" daggers being mentioned specifically), but honestly I haven't paid enough attention to the videos to be able to describe the style of the Flames 2-hander. Sorry! At any rate, I hope the image helps.

Yep you're right. just looked it up. the Flames of the Inquisition Armor is bonus DLC with the Deluxe and Collectors edition.

But i believe we only get one type of dagger, i don't know if they are sweeping or not.

Spoiler

And these are the things that come with the Deluxe pre-order including a Multiplayer Chest, which i know nothing about.

Yes, you're right! I'm sorry if I implied that we get more than one type in the Flames set -- I meant to say that there are supposedly (at least) two types of daggers in the game in general. I can't recall which style the Flames daggers are, but I thought we saw them in action in one of the more recent videos (past few weeks maybe?). Then again, I'm not sure I'd be able to tell default attacks from special abilities, aside from the obvious ones such as the rogue version of hook-and-pull. I think I've seen a DW rogue do a spin move once or twice, but I couldn't say whether that was an ability or "sweepy" daggers.

Oh the sweeping and stabbing daggers i believed was talked about the same stream that mike showed the flame armor.

The funny thing is i have Deluxe pre ordered and i didn't even know what was the special dlc or the standard DLC

Me too! I like little stuff like that (ALL the things!), and the past two games have made me realize that I'd quickly regret not springing for the extra stuff now. I'm looking forward to the soundtrack, too, although I have my fingers crossed that they give us 320kbps (or at least a high-quality VBR) if they insist on a lossy format.

Having seem a larger pictur of the great sword, I can say that I am pretty sure we saw it in the first big Twitch stream, which featured the character creator and some gameplay in Valamar.

This is correct.
