Im hoping it will matter alot more than in dragon age 2... They are hyping up dragon age keep and why go to trouble of making it if and doing all this if its will be just like dragon age 2. I was really disappointed with save imports for dragon age 2 it was buggy hardly worked and outcomes were nothing. Mass effect series has done the save imports much much better offering alot more changes in story and things you notice alot more and not just a codex you can read.

I just dont want spend an hour in keep for nothing because i made all these different playthroughs for da2 and it did not matter game sucked and save import and changes were a joke.

I don't know, but if they aren't planning to have it mean something, they seem to be going to a lot of effort. They've been working on it now for quite a while.

Well, for one, all save importing bugs are now erased due to the Keep. It's also a great way for players to personalize and keep track of their choices. Regardless of how much choices will matter, I think it's pretty cool to have a tool like that anyway.

We kinda already had one (gibbed editor), however the keep is much, much better way of handling save imports. But OP your choices will have some "major" impacts (most likely concerning Hawke) however, the majority will probably be cameos or side quests.

The imports from DAO should be more important in DAI than in DA2 considering we get to revisit places like RedCliff.

The imports from DA2 are probably mostly going to be references because we aren't going to Kirkwall, but Varric is in the party and Hawke shows up going by trailers.

Gibbed editor directly altered the saves and switched plot flags, while the Keep allows you to keep track of all your choices, which is great for roleplaying purposes and for people that like to keep track of everything they've done across multible characters.

They've also said that over 200 of the choices in the Keep affect DAI. Obviously most of the changes will probably be minor, but the important thing is that there is an impact based on your choices.

Considering the game isn't out yet and since no one has had the opportunity to get a full play through to find out I thin its safe to say we don't know

The lesser choices probably still won't play any role. But the major ones, will at least be refered to, and some may even influence the flow of some quests.

The Keep is primarily a tool for the players to keep track of their own story, and tailor new ones if they so desire.

Not sure. Probably mostly minor cutscenes and dialogue.

The most noticeable divergences will probably be the absence of dead characters, or those who never existed in some playthroughs like Morrigan's OGB. The highest impact I can imagine would be to lock you out of certain outcomes if a certain decision wasn't made. We don't know how far Bioware wants to go in that regard, but it's possible. Most differences will be minor, though. Enough to give us the impression it's really our own continuity, and enough to be believable in its scope, but not more, since they wouldn't want to restrict future storytelling more than necessary.

I just hope the pattern of ME3 won't return, where it appeared as if the impact of choices in past games was inversely proportional to their importance.

I never finished DA2 so hopefully I can make DA2 decisions on the Keep. Also missed out on Awakenings. Bioware on top of my favorite devs for doing this Keep. Pre ordering deluxe soon.

I am worried that they won't have any real meaning except for the major decisions, considering some of the things that I see are left out.

And we'll be able to talk about it more when the NDA is lifted in a few days.  :)

Dragon Age: Origins decisions will probably be the least impactful unless they concern specific characters (Morrigan, Alistair, Lelianna). Reason being that the outcome of the game is always the same - the Blight ends, and only stuff like whether Alistair is king, whether Morrigan has a god-child and Lelianna was slain at the urn of sacred ashes could have repercussions that will carry over. DA2, on the other hand, could really impact a few quest-lines, namely in whether or not Anders was executed, Hawke's personality (which came out of the left field as an option for me in the Keep), and whether the champion of Kirkwall is also its viscount. Being that Hawke is already confirmed as a character, there's a strong likelyhood that decisions s/he had to make will carry over into DA: I.

I imagine choices that determine the personality/world view of Hawke and maybe the Warden will have the most noticeable impact. We'll see how much others do although I expect some like the dwarven king to just impact war table missions.

It is confirmed that you can edit all DAO, DAA, and DA2 choices regardless of if you own them.
