While i enjoyed the music in DAO for the most part, DAIs main theme is just straight up fantastic. Im looking forward to hearing more of the soundtrack in the game.

I never liked Zur's work on DA:O/II. There was the odd astounding theme, but most of them were bland or uninspired. I've only heard 3 tracks from Trevor Morris so far and I love them all. That alone already equals the number of tracks I loved in both Origins and DA2.

I'd personally love to see a video of Trevor Morris discussing the OST like they did with Inon Zur for Origins.  Yes, I would love that very much.

DA:O music gives me nostalgia. Lake Calenhad and I Am The One end credits are particularly pretty. But im by far more team Trevor Morris. The World Map theme, Combat and Combat 2 by Agent Sambora on YouTube is my epic internet browsing background music theme lol. Browsing like a boss... cant wait to hear the rest. I havent heard one thing from him i wasnt into.

Edited to say, have you heard the tavern music from the latest twitch stream we had with Cam and that guy who's name i cant remember?? Holy sh!t  <3  beautiful

I honestly don't remember the soundtrack of DA:O or DAII...

It really didn't stand out to me, otherwise I'd remember it.

I liked few tracks from dao and da2. Most were forgettable especially the combat music in da2. So far I prefer Trevor Morris combat music.

Right on B) Also im just going to throw in that the  Mars theme music from ME3 is my absolute favourite out of the entire trilogy <3

However, Mass Effect 3 arguably has the best soundtrack from any BioWare game. The blend of classical, modern, and futuristic sounds is simply perfect. Tracks like "And End Once And For All", "I Was Lost Without You", "Leaving Earth", and "I'm Sorry" are quite memorable. It also reuses some of the series' best tracks, most notably "Vigil" at the end the Rannoch mission. I actually think of ME3 when I hear it, rather than ME1.

I love the main theme for DAI -- I've listened to it so many times now. With DAO/DA2, I found the music good but the only piece that really stood out to me was Leliana's Song.

For me, if it's electronic vs orchestral music, orchestral wins out every time.

This new music sounds far too overproduced and fake.

I normally don't get all gaga over game soundtracks. However, I remember very fondly the Soundtrack of DAO. I have caught some snippets for the soundtrack for DAI. I won't really pass any judgement on DAIs soundtrack until I can take it all in.

Oh yeah I like the Mars one too! It's just so early in the game that I forgot about it. I just heard it again and I got goosebumps.I think I'm due for another Mass Effect Trilogy run :P

Inon Zur composed some great tracks in both DA games. Leliana's Song. The Warden theme, and the camp ambient soundtrack are very memorable sounds. I also found the DA2 theme and Fenris's theme to be great.

I'm hoping DAI can match it or more. The theme itself is impressive enough already, but I have refused to listen to any more of the soundtrack so I can keep things fresh. I have a feeling I won't be disappointed.

Suicide Mission, LotSB soundtrack, Spectre introduction, vigil. These are the song with a sci-fi vibe. "And End Once And For All", "I Was Lost Without You", "Leaving Earth", and "I'm Sorry" are too classical, piano-heavy, but emotional, I don't feel really "mass effect" when I listen to those. But they surely can bring back those highlight moments in ME3.

Speaking of DAO and DAII I liked the DAII soundrack more that the one of DAO... I don't know, It felt more atmospheric for me.

And we haven't heard all the music for DAI yet, but I like it so far, sounds very epic.

I'm really looking forward to the battle tracks. This one alone:

is so much better than any battle track in DA1 or 2.

I've only heard a little bit of the new music, and I already prefer it to the old stuff. Trevor Morris' work is beautiful.

The only think I miss about DA:I are Inon Zur. Everytime I hear a favorite theme in DAO/DA2 I get somewhat depressed that I wont hear his great music in DA:I. :(

Not that there's anything wrong with Trevor Morris, it's just not at all the same. Not the same feeling or style. Also, wile DA2 had a few (like 2, I think) DAO themes returning this means that DA:I will have none. Wile DA2's main theme reminded of DAO's, DA:I does not at ALL. DA2 had different songs than DAO but you could hear in the soundtrack that it was the same universe, I don't hear that in DA:I.

Sure, I will probably still love the DA:I soundtrack in the end but it will not be the same at all and I will always be sad listening to the best of the DAO/DA2 soundtracks and think of what could have been. :crying:

Hits the play button again. My body is ready 'n all that. If the game has scenes and moments that live up to and fits the awesomesausness of the tracks then it be a pretty awesomesause game IMO. If that makes any sense....meh

I was bummed initially. After hearing the soundtrack, however, I've had a change of heart. The music I've heard sounds fantastic. Zur has made some awesome stuff (look up Targos theme, awesome stuff).

at the moment I am watching the TV serie 'Vikings' and Trevor morris is the composer of that serie. If he makes the DAI soundtrack as good as Vikings', then I will be drooling all over the place. I really like his style, and by the maker I am so happy he's onboard =D happy, happy me!

To be honest there aren't many that beat this. When you first heard it and the timing was awesome and the song so bombastic.

This is without a doubt one of the greatest video game trailers ever produced. Truly a masterpiece. BGS + Jeremy Soule = Magic.

Morrowind had the best main theme of Elder Scrolls, IMO.

Of course Skyrim's main theme is just a Nordic version of it, but I think the original is better.

Morrowind might have a slight upper-hand as it's the original. However, Skyrim's interpretation is phenomenal. I only really felt Soule left us a bit underwhelmed with Oblivion's rendition. It's very well-executed and I love the cello, but it just lacks that soul Morrowind and Skyrim were able to produce.

Hard to say whether I'm a fan of Morris. These tracks are the first I've heard of his work. However, it feels much more like Dragon Age music than the previous Dragon Age music.

I have no idea how you came to that conclusion as his soundtrack doesn't relate to any of the previous songs in DAO or DA2.

I've enjoyed the music from each and every BioWare game.  Can't remember too many tracks I did not like.  It's all good.
