Gotta love those gamers who choose to still feel terribly let down by the previous game, and who wax on incessantly about how nothing will dissuade them from being ticked off at Bioware forevermore. Yet, they continue to post about something they claim not to be invested in? Such a downer!

When I feel this way about something, I tend to move along and I mean "actually" go elsewhere and do something more suitable to my entertainment preferences.

I'm so hyped by DA:I that I have trouble focusing on other things. I'm constantly thinking about it. I have high expectations, but they are realistic. Hopefully, the game won't disappoint me.

Probably ya since my "hype" is at reasonable levels, I think it'll be pretty great but it sure won't be perfect, and I already know what most if not all the imperfections are

We'll see. I'm going into this game with zero expectations and I know very little about the game. Dragon Age II was a MASSIVE letdown, but talking to people I know that are following every snippet of the game say it's looking good.

So again, we'll see.

Well they obviously fixed the main problems i had with DA2(wich i just was disapointed with.. i dont "hate" it as many others do)

-Good Graphics

-Huge,diverse Landscapes

-Tactical Camera

-Customize Followers

-"Bigger" Story

adding to that we get mounts, crafting and many things more

so yes... i guess it will fullfill my hype

but tbh... im SO hungry for a good AAA RPG that i will propably be drooling through my first playthrough :P :D

after Bound by Flame, Risen 3 and DSA: Demonicon this year...  DA:I seems like heaven...

they have a great timing the first great RPG Franchise releasing in almost two years...

Have no hype, that way a game can never disappoint.

Tbh, I don;t feel they've really hyped this game. I mean, they've shown stuff that was actually in game--maybe strategically edited, but still there.

We've seen the warts and all of this game. Even glitches. They haven't said anything abt it being a revolution of a gaming experience. None of that. They get a lil precious abt their numbers, and how many combinations of stuff we can do, but I don;t pay attn. to that anyway.

I'm hyped, but......I feel grounded at the same time. Hard to explain. I just think it's gonna be a fun game with lots of fun lil stuff to do. New areas to explore. Interesting characters, and a story that is prolly gonna be pretty interesting.

That's all I really want, and that's all they've really promised.

win/win.

The only thing that disapoints me about the game is the possible lack of explorable big cities (Val Royeuax, Denerim, etc.) and the difficulty of battles worry me- but overall everything looks great and I can't wait to play it. I also enjoyed DA2, so not too worried.

There aren't that many party based RPGs being made nowadays, all the games that I can think of are low budget kickstarters. It's not so easy to move along.

I would love to say yes....but I can't....I'm not sure that I've been this hyped for a game in a long time...oddly enough ME3 was the last game that had me this pumped. Everything about this game just looks so damn good...but then again...if it really is 100+ hours, if the storytelling and characters are as awesome as I believe they will be...if the combat is as heavily based on tactics and being proactive as we've been told...if the skills are varied and exciting and if the world doesn't feel as empty as I'm afraid it will....then yeah...it will live up to my expectations...but that's a lot of ifs.

But honestly...even if it doesn't...I know that I will still love the game to bits...and play the every loving bejebus out of it...gah...maybe I'm too hyped T_T.

What hype?

I don't hype myself for anything, no matter how good it's looking, that's just setting myself up for disappointment.

My expectations for every game I play are always zero, impossible to lose that way.

This overhype is largely the player's fault.  I'm sorry, but if gamers haven't learned to take what publishers, who are trying to sell a game, say with a grain of salt, then it's their own damn fault.

Probably the most hyped I've been for a game was Mass Effect 3, and for the most part it lived up to that.  Watchdogs met my expectations.  Most games exceed it.  Diablo 3 is the only game in the last five years that failed to live up to my expectations, and they've corrected that issue since then to exceed my expectations.

My expectations for DA:I are modest.  I'm more worried about TW3, because I'm incredibly pumped for that game!

Overall hype is already ruined with the terrible romance options, but I guess I still have the story and gameplay to look forward to. I hope I could at least get 2-3 playthrough out of this game.

Dude, really? That's what deflated your hype? I'm not one of those "lol romance sux lol coz I get lol sex all'day eryday in the rea lifel" morons but that's a pretty bad reason.

My reaction to that was pretty hillarious, I sort of cocked my head to the side and my head did the whole mabari dog sound.  :P
