Not if Apocalypse fail.

The thing is, DOFP was a hit because the complexity of events, But Fox has screwed up the X-Men before, X-Men: The last stand for example, and many other mistakes in the X-Men series. And It CAN screw it up again and i certainly hope it'd screw it up again. :D

I'm waiting for the Fantastic 4 reboot to fail, after seeing the casting for it............................  :?

And Apocalypse still has Brian Singer on board

Well, Yes, Brian is good, But i still hope it'd either get screwed up and handed over to Marvel, or Shared. Rather being a stand-alone universe. The X-Men can not succeed solely, Their Universe wouldn't be diverse. Verdict: It's doomed to failure sooner or later if Fox keeps handling the X-Men franchise as a stand-alone franchise.

I don't really care about the Fantastic Four, Fox can have it anyway it wants.

Even I'll admit I don't care at all about the Fantastic 4.

Cuz you don't need no more, that's ungrammatical!

I like what I see. Ultron will be one of the more interesting villains, methinks.

All aboard the hype train.

Well of course, he's being voiced by James Spader.

Hulkbuster Armor hype is real People!

We were blue balled by Iron Man 3's lame Igor armor

But now the HulkBuster has truly arrived.

Looks like Avengers 1.5

Earth gets attacked by an enemy with an army, the heroes unite, end up fighting amongst each other, resolve and ultimately (or most likely) beat up the bad guy and sets the stage for the next phase.

Meh, I will most likely enjoy it for what it is. But I was expecting a different narrative formula and not one so similar to the previous installment, if one decides to judge the movie based on the trailer that is.

If one boils down plots to their bare essentials then, yes. You start seeing similarities.

That's the basis of Joseph Campbell's Monomyth/The Hero's Journey.

Not saying it's wrong to do so. Just that it's a pessimistic thing to do.

It's easy to speculate on those two scenes, it's understandable for Thor to be mad and blame Tony because he created Ultor

And a lot of people are already speculating that it was Ultor controlling the Hulkbuster armor to fight Hulk

Naturally. Though as I said, judging the movie based on the trailer shouldn't be done. I've enjoyed all the previous Marvel movies thus far and don't see why I wouldn't enjoy this one as well.

While I prefer DC when it comes to the comics, Marvel completely dominates the market when it comes to superhero movies.

"There are no stings on me"

This is why you build several fail safes and kill switches into your AI's people....

...or maybe they should have used 'Windows Vista' instead of some super duper computer program.

This reminds me of a line from the most recent Person of Interest episode, from the designer of the AI:

"Out of 43 versions, how many do you think didn't try to trick or kill me? One, and I could only bring it to heel by crippling it, I put it in chains, bereft of voice or memory. Now it has both and it terrifies me."

I like how creative these movie trailers are getting. They're like dramatic mini-music videos, that tell little stories unto themselves :)

Sci-Fi movies can't be rated by such values though. You're over-simplifying things that weren't made to be simplified.

And about Thor, Take your anger management issues away from Tony, Bro. Tony saved everyone's asses before dozens of times.

Narrative structure? Of course they can be rated by such measures. They are not excluded from such factors. Naturally it depends on the movie and where its sole focus lies in, but story carries a lot of weight no matter what genre.

I am not simplifying anything. I am giving my impression that I got from the trailer and judging it as such, not labeling the entirety of the movie, as I pointed out.

I see your point, But as an aspiring director, What makes any movie great is its narrative, Concept and atmosphere that then shapes the plot. It doesn't work the other way around. That's why i said that it can not be rated by such values.

Certainly, there are several causes and aspects that have to be taken into account for--everything revolving around themes, setting, style, tone, characters, etc. I wasn't trying to criticize the entirey of the story (since there is barely anything to base on) but merely the movies underlying structure, which--again--was the impression I got from the trailer.

Just felt like a negative post that you didn't need to make.

The only purpose of which was to provoke people into an argument with you.

No need to make a fuss over insignificant stuff, Let's move on.

So, Guys, Avengers or X-Men?

New Avengers.

Because it has Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Ms. Marvel all in one team!  :P

And because New Avengers was the first book I kept up with until the end of the second volume in 2012.

Negativity usually does that, but I fail to notice how my post was one, yet alone unnecessary.

I simply gave an objective description on the story structure of what the trailer establishes, adding further that I had enjoyed all the previous Marvel movies and saw no major reason why I wouldn't enjoy this installment as well, pointing simply out my personal disappointment with the movie potentially being strikingly similar in regards to Avengers.

Doesn't come across as that negative, considering I am looking forward to it. Apologize if that wasn't evident in my post.
