Let's be fair.
Batman Vs. Superman is shaping up to have a similar theme :P

I don't think so. That seems like a plot of the world (personified by Batman) turning on its hero/savior (Superman). If anything, it is the exact opposite theme - the world is afraid of the power of the hero and tries to get rid of him, which gives an opening for an even greater threat.

That will happen after Guardians of the Galaxy 2 :)

This is most likely going to be the case. We still need to know the remaining stones and Thanos STILL needs to get the gauntlet.

It's still a simplification, You're seeing it backwards, They didn't create it that way. As i said, Concept and Atmosphere that then shapes the plot, Not the other way around.

They may not have intended it that way, but that's a little irrelevant if it comes across that way.

I'm not sure what you can say is truly a different atmosphere, but as far as Concept... SHIELD wanted to create a safer world and the power they created fell into the wrong hands. Tony Stark wanted to create a safer world and the power he created fell into the wrong hands. The heroes of the world wanted to create a safer world (in Civil War) and the power they created (by surrendering their identities) fell into the wrong hands.

Giardians, in the other hand, is a theme about the power of friendship, as goofy as that sounds. And it was a great movie because of it. Not that every movie needs to follow that theme or even a unique theme... but three times in as many years just seems risky.

Who keeps greenlighting these projects to keep the world safe by an over-reaching oversight system in the Marvek universe? Are they not watching the news?

Lex Luthors gonna do something to save the world from Superman.

It goes awry because Lex is an idiot played by a woefully miscast actor.

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Wonder Twins, and Deadpool for some inexplicable reason have to fight it off for Murica.

Thanos should just sit his ass of for several other Marvel movies and die off screen. My interest in him weakens as the movies pass.

Ah, You're speaking thematic, I see your point. But one of the biggest mistakes we make as a fandom is failing to see the creative ingenuity of the creator and to blend in with it. My definition of a concept is much deeper than that, It basically combines the idea created with the character development, Therefore creating the atmosphere, Then Creating the plot. Not to rip it apart to its most basic form.

Except Lex isn't doing it to make the world safe, he sees an opportunity to seize power (at least, every incarnation of Lex Luthor known to man would). And he isn't the one combating the threat he created.

He's going to try and get rid of Superman, via Batman and the Justice League, then use the opportunity to try and seize control, becoming the threat himself. Afterwards, everyone will work together to free Superman and then save the day.

Which is its own theme repeated elsewhere for sure... but not the same as "turn control over to Big Brother, then realize the fault in that and have to combat the danger from doing so."

They need to do a short Christmas special for Thanos.

To hype him not only as a villain but to show he is an awesome dad and is apparently Catholic.

Tbf. Lex only hates Superman because he made him bald.

That's fair. Totally fair.

My problem is that Marvel has to be working in reverse order if they really do plan a loose idea for movies expanding out into 2020 (according to Brian Feige). They have to know the events, at a very high plot-concept level, for at the very least the next five to six movies. Which means they knew "SHIELD builds giant helicarriers to neutralize any threat, gets taken over by HYDRA, Cap fights to save the day" at the same time they knew "Tony creates an AI to be Iron Man for him to neutralize any threat, gets taken over by Ultron, Avengers fight to save the day" as well as "Super heroes support Hero Registration Act to neutralize the threat from those with super powers, program results in a war that does more damage than good and no one really saves the day." I have my doubts that the Marvel movie will leave things as somber or open-ended as Civil War did, though.

I'm not sure how they will do it in the movie, but the comics had Ultron created by not by Pym, but by the artificial intelligence that was made by the artificial intelligence that Pym made. Three steps removed, so to speak.

Tony doesn't seem like he made Ultron. He probably left the task to Jarvis, who then made Ultron and gave him the keys to the kingdom (at least, given that we have Jarvis also voiced in Ultron, with credits given to Vision as well).

If it would make you feel better, you can easily replace "fall into the wrong hands" on all of those with "nefarious plot twist."

I personally see Marvel Movies to be stronger than Marvel Comics. And one of the greatest things Marvel has ever accomplished is the brilliant character development. For example, Iron Man 3 wasn't that good, But it existed solely to explain why would Tony want to create Ultron. Heavy character development creates confident narrative.

Verdict: The MCU is more about how characters evolve in the world, And how that messes up with the world. Which makes it a true fictional world that feels really real. I believe Cap 3 is only the beginning of the Civil War, Warming up the idea until they're done with Thanos after Avengers 3 and Guardians 3. I believe it's there To make a new atmosphere after Marvel's Phase 3 is done.

Considering JARVIS is going to become Vision in the movie. It might go that way, but it'd make more sense with Tonys character development to make Ultron himself. It's his Hubris.

Leaving it to JARVIS would take away the impact.

It's the same reason Wolverine had to go back in DOFP. His character development from X-Men to The Wolverine was about taking his past, accepting it, and moving on to better things. Which logically meant he had to be the one to teach that lesson to Xavier. Bringing it around full circle to when the two first met in X-Men.

LOL Sorry - it might not be true? Based solely off of current voice credits and nothing else.

It's a really good idea to make Tony's most trusted friend, JARVIS, To ally with Ultron because they're both AIs. And it also hints to how they'll be able to end the Ultron threat. Maybe Tony will convince JARVIS to turn Against Ultron?
