Considering JARVIS is going to become Vision in the movie. It might go that way, but it'd make more sense with Tonys character development to make Ultron himself. It's his Hubris.
Leaving it to JARVIS would take away the impact.

It's the same reason Wolverine had to go back in DOFP. His character development from X-Men to The Wolverine was about taking his past, accepting it, and moving on to better things. Which logically meant he had to be the one to teach that lesson to Xavier. Bringing it around full circle to when the two first met in X-Men.

What's even trippier is Professor X talking to Professor X, except the fact that Professor X talking to Professor X made a reality where that Professor X never existed.

X-ception! <fog horn blares>

It's a really good idea to make Tony's most trusted friend, JARVIS, To ally with Ultron because they're both AIs. And it also hints to how they'll be able to end the Ultron threat. Maybe Tony will convince JARVIS to turn Against Ultron?

I'm thinking, if anyone, Scarlet Witch will. Not only is Elizabeth Olsen super hot, but Vision and Scarlet Witch are a "thing" in the comics.

I see. That movie is going to kick ass,  That's for sure. :D And Elizabeth Olsen looks very good as Scarlet Witch to be honest. Marvel certainly has some brilliant casting agents.

Dammit, Guys, Why did you spoil that to me? >_<

It's not really a spoiler. Tony has no other digital assistants. Besides, the real spoilers will be what happens to the Vision later in the film...

I still feel sorry for Quicksilver, they're gonna have to make a scene to be on par with DoFP Quicksilver

Heh. That was one of the most fun scenes I've seen in a movie in a while. Second only to Chris Pratt's dance battle at the end of Guardians.

Not likely. He will probably serve a different role. (Side-kickesque)

Well, I trust Marvel. We'll see who'll be the better Quicksilver, Marvel's or Fox's, when the movie comes out.

If I had to wager a guess, Ultron will be a program that Tony makes to safeguard the world, which then gains sentience and either wants to kill humans (a la Skynet) or is doing what he is doing based on his core programming to protect humanity; taken to a logical extreme (a la Zeroth Law of Robotics).

This would fit in with the whole 'I have no strings." Element of his character, I don't think that Tony Stark would be so careless as to build an AI without substantial shackles and safeguards in place. Even if he was going to use an AI why not use a trusted friend in the form of JARVIS who; as of Iron Man 3; is perfectly capable of commanding Tony's various suits.

IMO, it would make more sense for Ultron to develop sentience on his own and then become the villian, than for Tony to try and make another AI.

"snip"

Tony Stark is pretty reckless with his tech. Losing control seems to be a recurring theme with him, especially in the comics.

Anyway I hope the movie ends better then the source material. DoFP already took that ending with time traveling wolverine.

It probably will since Age of Ultron is gonna lead into Capt 3

And apparently 3/4 of Avengers movies are going to consist of Avengers fighting each other rather than some enemy. They're like the least cohesive fighting unit ever.

The Avengers are like a platoon of super-inflated-egomaniac generals with no footsoldiers...

The Age of Ultron comic series has nothing to do with the upcoming movie, other than having Ultron as the villain. No time travel involved at any point.

Yeah... we can probably let go of the books now guys. It's ok. Hand 'em over. That's it... good.

Yeah, I'm guessing that Avengers will assemble, Hulk will smash, Ultron will go down, Hulk will CONTINUE to smash, Avengers assemble to take down Hulk, devastation all over the place about what these superheroes are doing unsupervised (Tony making world-dominating AI, Hulk able to level cities if he stubs his toe), leading everyone to call for them to be made public and fold into an existing command structure (Civil War).

LONG TERM

Ant Man will be a heist movie where they steal an Infinity Stone that will turn out to be the Eye of Amgarotto, which brings Dr. Strange into the picture. Meanwhile, Guardians, with the help of Warlock (who escaped during the end scene of Guardians 1, if you missed it) will try (and fail) to prevent Thanos from gathering almost all of the stones.

LONGER TERM

During all of this infighting and nonsense, Thanos invades Earth to recover the last stone from Dr. Strange. Hulk smash, Thanos will smack him around, Hulk smash again, Thanos will smack, smack... HULK ULTRA SMASH, Thanos knocked down enough for Warlock to snatch the stones away, Thanos defeated... Hulk still smashing. Takes everything everyone has to put down Hulk.

LONGEST TERM

Realizing that Hulk is insanely risky to even have on Earth, Avengers drug him and pop him on a spaceship to have him live on a distant world away from all life. Hulk wakes up, freaks out, causes the ship to crashland... and thus begins PLANET HULK. And, of course, the follow up WORLD WAR HULK.

Oh yes.

That's my prediction, at least.

Superhero movies are overdone. They lost the impact they had since Dark Knight and Spiderman 2.

The Eye is in Asgard.

It was shown along the Infinity Gauntlet in the opening scene of Thor.

I'd even question the value of Dark Knight myself, movie was insanely long and drawn out.

I was never really into comics at all though so it could just be that as a factor. My favorite was X2 in like 2003 or something? I never really saw a comic movie I liked more than that one. The Dr. Manhattan story portion of Watchmen was pretty interesting also I thought.

According to this that is actually the ORB of Agamatto. Not the Eye.

What? Come on now, I was complaining about themes, not the entire genre.
