I love being creative, & I am really creative when I am bored. So I been brainstorming a couple of ideas for new DLC for Inquisition in the near Future.

Keep in mind this for now is merely FAN-FICTION, I am also writing a Fan-Fiction for Dragon Age also but I am afraid people would not like my Stories or Ideas so I never publish them or make them public cause I am afraid of the backlash I would receive.

But unlike other Books which do things in Chapters My Stories are told through the Characters. Being those Missing Years After DA II, After Origins.

My Story Dragon Age Chronicles - The Lost Years would reveal those Missing Years through the eyes of Hawke, Origins Warden being sort of like Star Wars Rebels is the years between Episode III & IV or the Force Unleashed which is the same Time Line.

Now on to my DLC Idea.

1st Up the DLC I would call The Black Smith Forge Facility.

What is the Black Smith Forge you ask - Simply Put this is a Weapons Facility that would be introduced into Sky Hold Castly being Run by a Drawf who is a Weapons Expert.

Unlike anything ever seen in Dragon Age the Black Smith Facility brings a New Twist to Weapons. Adding never before seen Abilities & Upgrades making these weapons 1 of a Kind & truly unique.

How are they different than anything before in the past - Unlike Previous deals of Upgrades. This time in the Forge DLC. Now your Weapons Grow in Strength just like you your Character Does Based on the number of Kills you made in the Field.

The More kills you make The More powerful your Weapon Becomes not Only Changing the ATK Damage but also Changing the Weapons Outward Appearance.

That is not all the Forge does - Now when you MAX That Weapon the new Weapon unleashes a Secondary Burst Mode ATK being a Powerful ATK that kills Everything on the FIELD.

But the BURST MODE can only be USED 1 TIME. Is the only Draw Back but I think 1 Time is enough since BURST MODE is a 1 Hit Death Mode.

Forge Would also introduce new Weapons Never before seen in Dragon Age.

Dual Chakrams has Elemental Effects FIRE, SHOCK, SNOW

Dual Sai's - Used by Mileena from MK

Bo Staff - Bo Staff seen in Forbidden Kingdom used by the Monkey King

Nun Chucks - Like the Hero of Suikoden V has

Whip Sword - Seen in Soul Calibur Series used by IVY

Clay More  - Seen in the Anime FREEZING, used by Satellizer 1 Handed Claymore

Each Weapon is unique offering Devastating Versions of BURST MODE

Dual Chakrams - TORNADO DANCE

Dual Sai - RAPID FIRE

So On & So Forth - I hope you guys Like my Idea for my Inquisition's SKY HOLD Black Smith FORGE.

Sounds very fable-esque minus the BURST MODE.

They have shown enough that I want a dlc(s) with a "mirror of transformation," more hair styles, more decorations, and more casual outfits.

This.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if we got a DLC for more Val Royeux stuff. While I suspect we will see peices of the capital of Orlais in the game, I doubt we will see it all.

- More/longer Qunari hairstyles

- Recolors for the keep outfit

That's the ones that instantly come to mind without playing the game.

1. Dual Chakrams has Elemental Effects FIRE, SHOCK, SNOW

3. Bo Staff - Bo Staff seen in Forbidden Kingdom used by the Monkey King

4. Nun Chucks - Like the Hero of Suikoden V has

I don't feel like going on a full tangent so I will just tal about your weapon ideas

1. I presume you a referring to the Amalur weapons and not the real life ones. in real life,  chakrams are sharp, metal, thrown discs that are pretty much used like a weaponized frisbee.

2. This is a weapon of asian influence of which there is little to no basis so far seen in Thedas.

3. we have staves and I doubt they will add a staff option for non mages. I imagine they might return the melee animations from DA2 in a later game (or not).

4. same as 2

5. I hope you understand how ridiculous it would be to use any kind of whip in battle, a normal whip would have no effect on solid armor also the whip sword is a weapon of such absurdity that I imagine it will never be in DA (or any game besides Soul Calibur)

6. there is no such thing as a one-handed claymore. the best you could get is a bastard sword.

for my sanity please don't try to argue with me on this.

I just realized that I didn't say what I want for DLC. I want a DLC that delves into the subject of Flemeth.

I want a DLC where we go to the Tevinter Imperium (much like how we got to go to Orlais in Mark of the Assassin).  From what I have heard of the plot and the snippets it is blasphemy that we do not get to go to the Imperium in the main game proper.  At least for a small time not expecting anything major of course.  And, if I remember correct, I think one of the MP maps is supposed to take place in Tevinter so a DLC would be even more probable because of it.

OP I think you're trying to transform this into an action game which I think would be better suited for games like ninja gaiden. Dragon age doesn't have "arenas" so your burst mode would effectively kill anything on a map. This is a serious problem for balancing (can you imaging one-shoting a dragon?)

Just a question here: Did you re-create the same topic because your idea was not welcomed yesterday?

Because I think some people made a very good point about how the developpers see their game building up. Having a weapon that levels up kind of breaks the whole "exploration to get new material to make better weapons"-thing that the developpers had in mind. In DA:2, weapons that leveled up with you were just better than any other weapon I could find anywhere else. So I just gave new weapons to my party and then not care at all for all the other loot till the end of the game.

I think you need to think of another idea for your new twist to weapons keeping in mind what the devs made of their combat system. If you've got modding skills and if they release mod-kits (which I doubt since the new engine seems to be really difficult) you might get a shot at trying to make this DLC.

Not everyone tries to shoot you down (backlash or anything of the sort), criticism also helps our ideas to grow in a more coherent way.

(Good ideas for the fan fictions though)

As some guys have said, the burst mode would be an issue with the power output balance.
I would like better a powerful 'final movement' in every (high level) class. Given some requirements (<50% enemy health, etc) you can try the final hit, a la fatality, with or without success.

Anyway keep going with your ideas and do not take so seriously the criticism, at least the constructive ones.

More hairstyles for female Qunari since well there will be no mods as far as I know so we pretty much depend on game to put it in.I know it's impposible to add more since game is about to be launched soon but mabye they can create some DLC that will add more hairstyles for female Qunari.

Could make a dlc with thrones. Which these thrones can be any t.v. reference like the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. Or a game reference like the throne from Dark Souls

I think they'd have problems with licencing. Extra costs for cosmetic changes they don't own the rights to. This might be too expensive compared to the return value of DLC sales...but then again, I'm not a business guy

My idea - The Weapons of Mild Irritation pack!

The Bow of Late Nights - With each arrow make your enemies feel like they would really have liked a nice lay in that morning.

Daggers of Hard to Reach Itching - Kind of speaks for itself.

The Staff of Lyrical Forgetfulness - Each blast from this mighty staff will make enemies fail to remember anything but the chorus to whichever song next gets stuck in their head.

The Shield of Slight Social Embarrassment - Any foe striking against this enhanced shield will totally blank on someones name at their next social gathering.

The Sword of Impatient Shopping - When struck by this cursed blade enemies will refuse to try anything on when next they shop, only to discover that several items are slightly the wrong size upon returning home.

The Warhammer of Missing Keys - Anyone stuck by this mighty weapon is doomed to not quite remember where they put their keys, forcing them to search through all their pockets.

So, hold up now. You created two threads, with different names about essentially the same thing? I think what has been said in the other threads applies here as well.

EDIT: Re-read the other thread, besides the title it is word for word the same, http://forum.bioware...-mode-dlc-idea/

Sounds like this would make the game way too much like Kingdoms of Amalur or Dynasty Warriors, both of which are their own unique entities and until now have no place in the current world of Thedas. Before we get Asian inspired weapons we need a cultural equivalent of Asia within Thedas.

From my adption thread:

So I thought it could be cool to make you able to adopt kids later on (as DLC) to make the game feel more alive, the kids will not become fighters but you could do quests for them to learn more of the world and of their personalities.

You become kinda like the parent that they lost, and they look up to you at first like anyone would when looking at a soldier or king/queen, but later on they become more trusting and start to view you like a parent.

You could assign them to some of your party members for laughs, like varric telling funny stories (probbably lies) with them or Sera teaching them pranks, Leliana singing to them and etc.

You create a school for them to be in and you assign some party members (maybe) to become teachers for them, like I can se Josie being a history teacher? and so on, could be cool

This is purely for immersion and for some laughs, I like to have the option to be able to have kids in games cause it makes the game feel more real.

You could "adopt" kids from other races as well.

Wished it worked in mass effect or SWTOR   :(

If anything I would buy it as DLC on the spot

Sorry for bad english and for a useless topic

From my good/evil aura thread:

If I posted this in the wrong place could someone re-locate it to the right place? if not sorry.

Anyone think it would be cool if there was a special aura depending on what choices you have made in the game? I know that people will react to you differently depending on what choices you have made but if your appearance could change would also be cool.

And considering the fade mark you have on your hand I think it could work.

This is how it works: Your "aura" would change either for the good or the bad.

If it is good your walking, running and facial expressions would be more calm and friendly and you would emit a nice silver mist like glow from your eyes. The poeple around you will be more calm and friendly to you. And the Fade mark wouuld change its glow as well

If you have a evil  "aura" though your walking, running and facial expressions will be more antagonistic. The poeple would be scared of you cause they do not know if they will be acused of something (and considering there is a judge system now it could work). The eyes would emit a dark red sinister mist (like saurons eye in LOTR)

There would be benefits and negatives to both these Auras but I do not yet know how to describe them yet.

Maybe they could add this later on or something? And the option to be able to toggle it of if you do not want it

What do you all think?

(sorry for bad english)

I've noticed these threads keep popping up and I'm just wondering why? The game hasn't even come out yet and you are asking for DLC. It's ridiculous. The very thing you could be asking for could very well be in the game already. Wait for the game to come out and then start asking for DLC.

However, things that we know are not in the game, fact, can and should be asked for because it can give BioWare some ideas right now such as Mabari Puppies and Adoption (2 I have noticed recently) but stuff like this that the OP came up with, could already be in the game, or at least a similar system could already be implemented.

Sorry. It just rattles my cage.

An idea for a new DLC could be that you visit Kal-Sharok. We all have seen Orzammar in DA:O, but Kal-Sharok is only slightly mentioned in the games so far. There could be a great story, about how these dwarves survived their isolation from the rest of the world.

That would be a great setting for Story DLC. And it was also comfirmed that we don´t visit Kal-Sharok (Orzammar too)  in the main game.

And i really hope that we get a DLC that have Leliana, Cullen and Morrigan/or new female Qunari mage as temporary companions.

To be fair Josephine should be part of the DLC but isn´t really a fighter.

Someone may have said this already or it may already be planned for the game as a side quest or something, but I'm hoping they do the discontinued dlc The Exalted March. Just so we get closure in that story.
