Amusingly, I have seen a number of people on other forums say DAI is now a guaranteed buy because of that ESRB description. I guess bouncing ****** are a big draw among gamers.

I have to say, it's amazing how two statements taken out of context can really bring out the "naughty" in people. Didn't take long for the mods to lock it up and start cutting.

It's all fairly light-hearted and for a laugh. No mods are needed for the Captain Killjoy routine.

A few naughty lines out of context and people think GTA V level of naughty...they will be disappointed but maybe they will expand their gaming interests now. BF, COD, AC and GTA are sometimes very dull.

I kind of want the 'great respect' line to be Cassandra's, I don't know it would just have so much funny potential coming from her.

I keep hearing Blackwall for the "great respect" line, and for either IB/Sera for the other.  It changes, depending upon mood and caffeine levels.    Of course, I'd laugh pretty hard if it was Cullen that said the real version of the great respect line, and it was Josie that made the t*ts comment when she was a bit too deep into her cups.

Unfortunately, I missed out on that thread.  I looked at it once, but the stuff I saw on there was so out there that I quickly left it.  Yeah, it was really out of context, but I just couldn't go back to that thread.  Kind of wish I had.  

 

Anyway, now we're getting off topic.  I will laugh so hard if Solas says the second line to my f!Dalish!  I mean, I'd understand it if he's drunk, but if he's completely sober and still says it, it will be so hilarious!

What does this comment mean? What does being disappointed with these lines have to do with expanding one's gaming interests beyond BF, COD, AC and GTA? I don't understand.

 

I think Talon meant that people trying out DA:I might get them interested in RPGs.  I didn't start to get really into RPGs until I played ME2, and beforehand I focused mostly on COD, GTA, and RTS games.

I'm not sure he (she?) meant that, given we're talking about people saying things like "the way your t*ts bounce when I take you on the side of the bed." It sounded like he was saying people would be put off by it. But I don't know for sure.
 
ME2 was also the game that got me into RPGs.

What I understood is that the promise of extreme naughtiness could get people to play this game who otherwise wouldn't. And they might be disappointed that it isn't like that the whole time.

The vast majority of people are probably never going to see that ESRB rating, though. They're going to see 'M 17+' and the various lists on the box. They'll only ever come across that line if they come across it.
