Remember when you could hide in that room in glacier? I think that was my first plat game. Not sure if plat was even around before they fixed that. I hope that's not where I popped my gold cherry.

 

Ugh that was the worst spot to hide. Worse then Rio box IMO. Set up a justicar bubble and have 3 cerb vangaurds spamming smash through the wall. 

 

Even worse then the old fire base white geth counter farming. WOW I did some boring things when I was a nub for credits. What a s1ut I was.

My first platinum game was a nightmare.  Loaded up U/U/P with my brother and 2 randoms to give it a try the first weekend after release and rolled Geth London.  Made it to wave 7 before finally succumbing to the Prime beatdown.  

 

Following that game, deployed the Claymore GI for a much smoother Reaper/Glacier game that ended in a solid time and full extraction.  

 

You never forget your first.

Extraction? Gosh, I can't remember - but I know I was carried all the way through it. 

 

My very first platinum game was my very first game of ME3mp thanks to the initial search settings ... 'Platinum? Ok, guess I'll see how it goes.' 

 

It went ... poorly.

OMG, my first two plat game where in the old FBW/Get/Plat holding the bottom like true farmers (4 friends) and try to do the objectives, first game we got annihilated by wave 4, but the second surprisingly we did it.

 

I had the DemoGirl with the Harrier and grenades all the things....

my first platinum game was a volus 3-way. me, my brother and a friend. we took shurikans and predators. no equipment. made the match public. a fourth joins in unaware we were just about to troll them. lol no one makes it past wave 1. it was glorious. go back to lobby and pretend it was the pug's fault and we kick him.

I agree about random low level pugs in Platinum though. There seem to bee quite a few or I notice them more because I really need teammates who can look after themselves on this difficulty.

 

Strange enough, I used to notice weak players when I started on Gold ...

My first platinum was FBW/Geth

 

Playing as a demolisher I got the Vanguard Glitch

 

since the game was set to private I Stayed in for no real reason

 

partial extraction and I got 25 kills while floating above the LZ spamming arc grenades

my first platinum was actually Firebase Ghost and I failed badly back then, as in three year ago. during that time I have grown to get better, improve myself. today, I'm using geth juggy to break out the plat mooks, destroy them. pew pew.

Geth/White PUG on the day plat came out. All wiped on wave 2. PUGS pls

Don't remember details, but my first handful of Plat matches all went thus:

 

*dropped into game in progress*

 

*plays normally for a few minutes*

 

"We're fighting (insert faction name), so why is there a (insert enemy that isn't part of that faction) here?

 

Oh don't tell me..."

 

*presses ESC, sees Difficulty is on Platinum*

 

"Oh $#!+."

 

*panics*

My first Platinum attempt went as follows:

 

Quick search --> game in progress, Jade, no idea what enemy, only one other player.  No idea what wave either, but it had to be either 3, 6, or 10 because it was devices.

After loading in, I take three steps and die in the LZ.

Gel.  Run three more steps.

Die.

Gel.  Make it off the LZ.

Die.

Host rezzes me, then dies, and insta-gels.

I die again.

Gel.

Die.

Host rezzes me.

I die again.

I quit.  Total time played: ~20 seconds.

 

My second Platinum, and first successful one, was tonight.  Giant/Reapers, Human Male Infiltrator with Widow, the other players clearly wanted to camp near the LZ so I went along with them.  Everyone extracted but me.

Congrats to the OP. Must have been hard.

 

My first platinum was with a couple of friends who kick much ass. I was a fury with hurricane, the fourth player was a random. It was on Goddess, but I forget what faction. I spent most of the time in the lab, hiding behind dragaaan and trying to stay alive, while listening to them two saying things like "awww, poor prime, he didn't have a chance" or "I almost feel sorry for the poor geth" and the like (must have been geth, doh). It was frightening and exhilarating at the same time. When the score screen came up I remember thinking I didn't do that bad, but of course now I know it was only because I was in good company. Took me an hour to stop shaking afterwards.
