Perfectly fine with it.
Would you be fine with "Secret Companions" in Dragon Age: Inquisition?

I'd love a secret companion. It was so awesome when the Loghain choice appeared in DAO.

I'm not a member of the Loghain fan club, but yes, a "secret" companion similar to him would be a nice bonus/surprise if they implemented it - but I kind of doubt it, given all the work that they seem to have put into our official companions.

I'd love it if Hawke was a secret companion. S/He will no doubt be temporary but it would be great if S/He was permanent.

Yes, I want a full fledged secret companion like the one in Origins.

Me too. I'd be fine with any secret companion but Hawke would be quite exciting.

I'd be cool with it, but I feel the opposite about Hawke. I'd rather not have him/her be a secret companion. I'm happy to hear about his/her story, but I'd rather not have past protagonists as companions in RPGs. It ends up taking a little away from the new protagonist. It's one of the reasons why I never recruited the Suikoden hero in Suikoden II. I already knew his story; it's time for me to focus on a new character. Of course, I'm also not the biggest fan of returning companions. I don't mind an NPC being "promoted" to companion, but I don't need to have the same character show up in multiple games. I'd rather meet more characters.

As more of a secondary PC, with us having signifcantly more control than we would with an NPC companion, that would be cool. Otherwise, I'll be hoping the appearance is brief.

I'd love a secret companion. Recruiting Loghain was definitely unexpected (especially since I let Alistair duel him every time, until I found out from the internet that you could recruit him). It was definitely interesting getting an insight into his personality and motivations.
I'm fond of the idea of Hawke being a secret companion, similar to Loghain - only available for the final dungeon/battle (and DLC), with one or two banters with each of the other companions. It'd be a fun way to round up Hawke's story whilst not detracting from the Inquisitor.

Hawke would be fun, but I doubt it.
I somehow think that there won't be a secret companion this time around. Was there one in DA2?

Only if they reveal the secret companion before the game comes out.

Then it wouldn't be a secret, would it.

My guess is that they either have 3 or none because they have 3 from each class already and I figure they would want one form each class for this game.

I'd be fine with it, it'd add a little bit of spice to the game.
Buuuuuuuuuuuut, I'm going to go for the unpopular opinion here and say I wouldn't be happy if that companion was Hawke. I think they've had their time in the sun and if they were there it would sort of feel like they could overshadow our Quizzy. Perhaps maybe a short role in the party for part of a quest for example, but yeah I don't think I'd want anything more than that for them.
Other than that though, as I said, I'd be fine with it. Bring it on.

You know, it would be cool if sparing Loghain in Dragon Age: Origins payed off in another way: that is, being able to recruit him again in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Imagine him tagging along on one last adventure, maybe seeing how his recent years in Orlais have shaped him.
Either that or he comes back as an "Secret Advisor," specifically a secret military advisor. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Flemeth would also be perfect for a secret companion or advisor. Actually I kind of like the idea of her being an advisor more than an companion.

That would be pretty cool if she was a "part time" advisor for select missions. Especially for those of us that agree with her agenda. With "secret companions", I am sure that we will get some temporary companions from previous games to quench the nostalgia from DAO and DA2. I am about to replay DAA, I don't remember much of it since its been so long. It'll feel fresh!
