I don't know if this can be seen as a technical issue, but it's actually a bug, so I thought to make Bioware notice it.
Bug: There are several issues related to Alistair's destiny after you finish the game.
One of them, mine, is this: At the end of the game, when you are in the hall to say farewell to your comrades, Alistair does not appear, and if you speak with Anora, she will tell you he's dead.
Well, actually he didn't die during my playthrough, so he should be still alive, safe and sound.
Keep in mind that:
1) I made Anora queen, not Alistair
2) I Didn't select him in the main team for the last battle (but I left him in charge of the gate defenders, and he survived the battle)
I also checked Alistair's codex, it's not written anywhere that he died.

I hope you'll fix this issue someway, because it's a pity that a masterwork game like DAO is a bit ruined in its ending by some bug like this one.
