... I still discover something new that I've never witnessed before!  Being sync killed by a Scion! I had no idea they could do it!  It was rather hilarous when it happened!

It doesn't happen often.

 

The only time it has happened to me was early in what may have been the weakest Gold PUG lobby I have ever played in ... I came around the corner staircase at the back of White, where this Scion with 1 flickering bar of armor left scooped me up and slammed me down. My AF finished it off, leaving only 1 Collector Captain on the field with my 3 teammates ... the Collector Captain won, and none of my 'teammates' used a med gel, it was so hilariously bad

I like how all the sync kills except the Brute have semi long animations which allow you to reflect on how you screwed up. However, I'd say the Brute sync kill is the most amusing.

There is nothing quite as cringe-worthy as watching a Volus get synch-killed by a Scion.

The one to watch out for is the Nemesis sync-kill. She does that with a Raptor CCLV shot to the testicles.

 

Fortunately, they normally aim for the head.

I beat Nemesis to death with nothing but my bare hands on a regular basis.

Poor Nemesis would have really needed a (rare) sync kill option.

Because the Scion synch kill is so rare... does anyone know: is it possible to stagger the Scion out of the synch kill animation, similar to what you can do to Banshees and Praetorians?

 

Edit: possible for someone else to do the staggering, not the player being synch'd.

I had been sync killed by brutes about twice in the first 900 hours of play.

 

Then I managed it three times in one game

It's pretty nasty as far as sync kills go.  Flattens you and then beats you with his arm canon.

For some mysterious reasons, I am always at the end of the scion arms when this is happening, and IIRC I respawned at the LZ after one of those sequence

Beat me to it. Getting synced by a Scion is already bad enough but the particularly long animation rubs in just how much you dun goofed. Also +1 for a Volus getting clubbed. One of those things I have yet to see but am looking forward to.
