I was just reviewing my vid of my presidium tour with a Shepard who had not had any romances in either ME1 or ME2 and I am puzzled by EDI's dialogue. She claims that Shepard has first-hand sexual experience despite the fact that this playthrough was mostly chaste up to that point. (Shepard did have a roll in the hay with the Consort.) Shepard did technically pursue a romance with Kaidan in ME1, but then left him to burn on Virmire. At any rate, the import screen clearly indicated that Shepard had not romanced anyone in either ME1 or ME2. I would think you would get the dialogue you get for a non-import game (which I can't remember at the moment) where EDI comes at the romance question from a different angle. Has anybody had an imported, sexless Shepard get the non-import version of EDI's dialogue?

It's always there I think. Shepard is in his late 20s by the time ME1 rolls around. Consider the average age when people ''do the deed'' as Ashley called it. Nobody ever said anything about what happened before ME1

Do you remember any details of that playthrough? I am trying to figure out why I got the "first-had experience" version. Maybe it was having Kelly dance for me? The fling with the Consort? Coming on to Kaidan?

I'd say any one of those three things would be enough to trip the flag. Even if you turn down an ME1 romance interest right before Ilos, the value as flagged as having been pursued. The Consort is pretty obviously a sexual encounter and, let's be honest, Kelly isn't "just" dancing when she goes up there. You need more discipline than that to get the alternate dialogue.Do you remember any details of that playthrough? I am trying to figure out why I got the "first-had experience" version. The only Shepard of mine who did get the alternate dialogue was started in ME2. Never did play him through to the end of ME3.

One of my old Shepard's had a romance going on with Liara, and he did not sleep with her. It was when I did a full paragon play-through. That Shepard was trying to wait until marriage. Ha, you want to know what I learned. Liara has a fetish that involves last minute sex right before a suicide mission.
But to answer your question. EDI still told Shepard that he had first-hand sexual experience. So it is either a glitch or Shepard had some special flings in the past -- I do not know.

No Kelly iirc. No sex with Consort, but I am fairly certain both of them do carry import flags, so either of them could potentially trigger this line.

Shepard had sex. Sorry. You inherited Shepard when he/she was 29. You have no say other than head canon of what Shepard did before that.

I think a few of you completely missed the point of the OP.
Props to themikefest for linking a video to that scene. I had seen it once but never been able to actually find footage. Thanks.
Side note the existence of this scene doesn't suggest that Shepard IS a virgin but it doesn't rule that out as a possibility. I kinda like that, myself. The less details we have forced on Shepard the better, lets us envision him/her however we like.
Side note 2: Just because he is an adult doesn't mean that he, by default, MUST have had sex.
