Bit off-topic but:
I guess they was pursuing a "safe bet", investing less money and allowing a more easy development in games (getting close to the PC tools), but dunno how and why they got a wrong sizing in their specifications...

I will be buying the game for PS4 but if there is the ability to mod, I will also buy for PC. I did this with DA:O - have one for PS3 and one for PC.
I am sure I am not the only one willing to invest in two DA:I games. I really hope the computer savvy fans figure out a way because there are lots of little tweaks I can already see that I would get a kick out of seeing a mod for....
never underestimate the modding community's ability to drill down and make changes to your game.
There might not be "official" tools but I suspect that if there are enough PC gamers who like DA:I there will be a community that will spring up and mod the game.
When Mass Effect came out initially there was talk that there wouldn't be any mods for that given the engine (well, I think it was that?) and now you have a bunch of texture mods and small fixes/changes. It might not be the scope of DA and DA2, but hopefully we will get something.
To be fair, most games that use the frostbite engine havent been single player games. Most are multiplayer such as battlefield series in which modding cannot be implemented unless you play a lan game.
It hasnt been put to the test for mods really, but I believe that modders will make it happen. Then once it becomes more common knowledge on how to do it, the mods will start to flow.

And the both the happy ending mod and the Thane project, do a lot more, then just retexture things. So I guess I will cross my fingers and hope for the best ![]()
I just want a mod that allows my Inquisitor to wear armor within Skyhold. Do you guys think that would be fairly easy for modders to do?
I could almost certainly place a high stakes bet on that if this game is just a little bit as good as all the hype it created is powerful, then some "hacker" will create a tool that will enable us to extract and import data for this game.
Even though Bioware stated that Frostbite 3 is hard to mod, I believe that modders nowadays are quite resourceful and will find a way.
This is what I'm hoping for.. those 2nd/3rd playthroughs are so much better with a little personalisation to spice things up.
First playthrough however, I NEVER mod ![]()
