I want to create a save to import into ME3 with the following conditions:

Not recruiting Samara, Thane and Tali.
No loyalty missions done.
No ship upgrades.
Shepard survives suicide mission.

To do this, I will pick up Kasumi and Zaeed and use the crash site glitch to force the collector ship mission after Horizon.

Just want to post my suicide mission plans just to make sure everything goes to plan:

Jack, Kasumi and Garrus will be killed due to lack of ship upgrades.
Send Mordin to die in vents.
No escort for the crew.
Miranda leads second fireteam and survives.
Jacob will hold the bubble. Bring Legion and Grunt; Legion dies.
Bring Miranda and Jacob to final boss; both will die.
Grunt and Zaeed will hold the line; they will both survive and allow Shepard to live in the end.

Any miscalculations here?

I think that looks okay.

If the crash site glitch does not work, you can use the Firewalker missions to get your five missons after Horizon to unlock the Disabled Collector Ship. Most of them can be considered "lazy" since you only drive around and do not engage in any combat. There are also some N7 missions that do not feature any combat that you could use as well to continue the "lazy" theme.

Should be ok. I've never done the mission like what you're suggesting.

After the IFF mission, you still have to do at least 2 missions to activate the collectors coming onboard the Normandy. I don't know anything about the crash site glitch, but doing the Firewalker missions, as RedCaesar97 suggests, would activate the collector ship mission.

Thanks guys.

Worst case scenario if the glitch doesn't work, I'll just do a few short assignments. Hammerhead missions give me migraines.

There a re a couple quick and easy ones after Horizon; the damaged YMIR 'mech that you have to keep feeding power cells, and the solo mission about restoring magnetic shielding around a research station.

What is that "crash site glitch" you're talking about?

What is that "crash site glitch" you're talking about?

The Normandy Crash Site DLC (free with the Cerberus Network). After completing it, you can actually go back and re-place the statue. This can give you a Mission Complete screen (I think) and can count as a mission and advance some dialogue with squadmates. seacrest3000 wants to use that to glitch/exploit to count as missions towards finishing the game.

After completing Horizon, you need 8 squadmates and 5 Mission Complete screens to unlock the Disabled Collector Ship (DCS) mission. Completing the DCS automatically unlocks the Derelict Reaper (Reaper IFF) mission.

After completing the Reaper IFF, you can have up to 3 missions to complete before the crew abduction happens; how many missions is dependent on how may recruitment and loyalty missions have yet to be completed.

So seacrest3000 wants to use the Normandy Crash Site mission to speed up the time it takes to unlock the DCS and crew abduction without having to do all recruitment and loyalty missions. It may or may not work, so some of us have suggested he do some of the easy non-combat N7 missions and Firewalker missions.

Well, four out of the five Hammerhead missions are extremely easy.

  • Firewalker: Rosalie Lost is when you first get the Hammerhead. You shoot once to destroy an object in your way. It is the tutorial mission.
  • Firewalker: Geth Presence/Anomalous Weather (I forget what it is called) is the one in the blizzard. Annoying, but no combat.
  • Firewalker: Volcano (or whatever it is called. It's the one in the freaking volcano) has no combat and is mostly just driving and running/walking. Easy.
  • Firewalker: Prothean Dig Site. You have to shoot the shield generators or pylons or whatever they are, but you can ignore all the turrets. Just drive and jump around them and do not bother shooting. It only takes one shot to take out the pylons and there are five of them. Once they are down, the big shield goes down and you are good to go.

Firewalker: Artifact Collection is the only terrible one since you have to actually kill all the Geth without any save points. This can be a pain in the butt. I usually ignore this one completely unless I need the mission complete screen or I want the pop-up off the galaxy map.

There is a crashed spaceship on a desolate planet that is about to plummet.

Not much happens here, but the atmosphere is really dense.

It's a nice little mission that shakes things up.

I don't know what it's called.

I think what SeaCrest meant was that FireWalker sucks. Not the amount of Mumbo Jumbo you have to put into it. No. Fun. At. All.

In a very slight defense of the Hammerhead, for Cortez's sake, I did enjoy just flying around; not having to hop around on ledges that I kept bumping into with the nose of the vehicle, or race to checkpoints while your engine freezes, or avoid getting shot at cuz you can only get shot at a couple times. How heavy are shield generators anyway?  <_<

*ahem* But just flying the damn thing, I didn't mind. Would have liked a little more hang time on the vertical boosters but oh well.

The one good thing about the Firewalker missions is they're quick and easy and if playing as a biotic,  a biotic upgrade can be found

Yup, that extra 10% is a nice bonus.

Just finished the run. The crash site glitch didn't work so I did n7 missions and 1 firewalker mission. I was level 15 at the end so the final boss was really tough especially with crappy upgrades and suboptimal party members. I just realized that I finished the game without talking to Liara and Wreav, so my lazy ME3 run should be interesting. I will see if I can get the synthesis ending through multiplayer.

Edit: ME3 still assumes I talked to Liara on Ilium. I'm so disappointed.
