I love Oghren, he is hysterical. Just go to Orzammar first, recruit him and instead of going to deep roads leave (via deep roads) and go to Circle with him as a companion. Love his interactions with Zevran and Hound in particular.

I didn't find him funny at all and more annoying than useful.  He only goes on one mission with me and that is the end of the deep roads.   Varric > Oghren

Any fictional character who is voiced by the great Steven Jay Blum, deserves to be immortalized. I also enjoyed him as a party member. Really the only character who annoyed me was Alistair.

Loved him favorite line from him was him telling wynne he'd give her a roll.

Way funnier than anything varric ever said

This picture pretty much sums Oghren up completely:

I never really spoke to him or even used him to be honest, I used to give him hand-me-down Armor and Weapons, nothing much interesting about him in my opinion.

You know, that's true about every companion - there's 'nothing much interesting' about them, if you don't talk to them and actually give them a chance. Oghren is interesting character, and a bit similar to Zev in that he hides his true feelings and hurt behind humour and flirtations. Once you see behind that facade, he is a great character.

Oghren always "UP" to something especially with the ladies. Morrigan sees that something is "UP".

But did anyone call him an "elf" - ?

I overlooked him when i played 5 yrs ago. He went unnoticed and unappreciated.
I just replayed and he was my top 3 favourite characters though,

lol, there is banter between zevran and wynne about how zevran would love to boink her, and complimenting her supple breasts (paraphrasing.. something about her breasts being perky for her age)
wynne: "I am old enough to be your grandma"
zev: "is that a bad thing? ;)"

I love him as a companion because he is a flawed almost damaged person. In this pc world its refreshing to see someone depicted as warts and all, this is me baby.

One of the few two dimensional characters BW has ever done. Hides his crushing depression with jokes and booze, an interesting spin on the drunken dwarf. I'd have liked to see more of him. In DA:A his character had changed quite a bit and you could no longer speak to him without him getting mad at you. He was a minefield of disapproval.

If Oghren is present while you speak with the Guardian, you'll get to know why he's an interesting and good character/companion ;)

One of my favourite characters really, I like his banter more than almost any other companion. Both in Origins and Awakening.
