Not to be rude, but starting a thread about DLC companions with the words "we all know it's going to happen" really doesn't convey that you're aware there won't be a DLC companion (a full companion like Shale or Seb, that is)... And nothing in the title or the OP suggests that we're meant to talk about who we'd like to see, so it's sort of understandable some people thought you were simply mistaken about the existence of DLC characters.

Yeah, they've done it in the past, but I don't personally think it's a good practice. As far as Hawke goes... I think that would be too much trouble to put into a DLC. You'd have to recreate your Hawke for a 3-4 hour long DLC, and I can't see them going through that much trouble. It's the same reason they probably won't bring back the Warden. 

 

In DA:I you can choose to recreate your Hawke for a non-companion cameo by them.

If we were going to have something like this, I would LOVE to have Finn, the mage kid from the Witch Hunt DLC. I thought he was hysterical. I've always wanted him to be a companion.

To be honest i hope there isn't any new companions with future DLCs, I already want to party with far too many companions as it stands with only three slots and 9 companions i already have LOTS of choice.And given that I have Cassandra, Varric, Dorrian, Sera, Vivienne and Blackwall all fighting for 3 spaces I don't need a 10th companion fighting for a spot.

 

i'd rather they use the DLC for further exploration of existing companions vs adding a new one. Thats just me others may find list of companions less intresting and want more choice. Maybe so but that isn't my problem.

I loved shales dialogue. somehow I just haven't managed to put her and oghren in the same party except for the one section leading up to carridan and it doesn't really open things up for party dialogue so I think I'm going to rectify that in a playthrough here soon.

I know they arent going to make it, but I would really love a darkspawn companion. Even if it is just gonna be in a few missions.
