Women are victims of sexist culture of course. But men are too. All people are victims of it, in truth. We should all oppose sexism because it is a thing that has proven to pigeonhole each of us, time and time again. That's where that frustration comes in, whether you're male, female, or something somewhere between those two.

If it's built into us all then there's no point in fighting it. If it's the product of evolution, then it's there for a reason. Is it inherently negative? no.

Men and women are different phisically and mentally. That is a fact.

And no point will we treat each other completely the same. It is impossible.

You said it yourself:

Boys will still punch the weaker boy. Girls will still gossip about the weaker girl. And variations thereof.

These "toxic ideas" (what the hell does that even mean?)

It means the Thought Police and the Social Engineers don't like what you're thinking off and have to package it in a negative context.

The male brain and female brain are way different. It's almost scary. *look it up*. Right brain vs. Left brain. Pain tolerance. And so on and so on.

Then you add in the fact that just he average man has over 5 inches in height and over 30 pounds in weight to the average female. Again.... Scary. Bone structure, muscle mass. Pain tolerance, testosterone. All lead to the men being, by far, the superior sex physically. This creates a polarizing evolutionary curve. Again... This is just math and science here.

Then.... The socio economic standards and perspectives of what it means to be a man. Vs. What it means to be woman.

Point being.

Men and woman are different. They always will be.

Feminism is a myth. Case in point, any guy who's ever played the field and scored tons of chicks. Woman love to be sex objects and go after the alpha seed of the top males. it's programmed into them.

Read a book called Sperm Wars, eye opening. I think it's a must read for all guys too be honest.

Wanna know why guys who are the most aggressive, strongest, driven, in shape are that way.....

Cause the poontang dictates that those type of men are the most attractive sexually for women.

People that say otherwise are either glib or lying.

tumblr.

Also her enemies are in a really bad light atm so it's a prime opportunity to attack.

For example, look at TurianRebel212, he makes it easy to side with Anita Sarkeesian.

I could never do that. No matter how bad some guys might be, I'd never side with her. Though I've completely lost my faith in feminism quite awhile back, if the name was "gender equality movement" maybe some women wouldn't get so confused and go on crusades to push down men every chance they get. Women like Anita.

Yes. I'm all for "gender equality." Women should be afforded the same opportunities as men in all walks of life, but "gender equality" died once women like Anita Sarkeesian had the platform to propagate their venemous thoughts, hijacking and transforming it into this abomination we see today. The irony here is that no one does a better job of driving a divide between men and women than Anita Sarkeesian.

In closing, it's all YouTube's fault.

In general I usually don't take grown men wearing fanny-packs or women wearing a complete outfit seriously.

Hey now. My dad always wore them when we went on vacation. Awfully hard to pickpocket a fanny pack.

Anita keeps going about how gaming industry is especially toxic to women. How women developers are attacked, how women players are harassed constantly

All lies.

There are many women in game development that do a great job and gamers like them.

Heck, there are women game developers that support GG and have spoken up - but the media is quiet as usual.

Women players aren't massively bullied online. If anything they get a lot of attention and they get treated BETTER than male players.

Hell, man, that's how I got free stuff in RuneScape. You'd be surprised how many people are willing to give a Black Platebody to a female avatar in need.

I think it has to do with the bad comments, not criticism but really really bad comments. She did had the comment section open before tho.

I never noticed Anita EVER actually addressing criticims, even when the comments were open.

She doesn't on the twitter and she refused any debate invite so far.

She only goes to places she can preach without anyone questioning her.

Think I've only seen one of her videos in passing on the Ms. Male trope. I'll take a couple looks at the newer ones to catch up on whatever's rustling people's jimmies these days.

At least as far as I remember, never saw her criticism come off as absurdly biased or horrific. I actually learned a bit on the subject.

I think currently people are more upset about her tweets then her videos.

As for her videos, she speaks from a position of authority and presents her interpretations and assumptions as facts, often mentioning "scientific research" that she never backs up with any evidence - because it doesn't exist

Yeah, there's nothing absurd about claiming that mass shootings are caused by some warped sense of masculinity. I'm sure it has nothing to do with mental illness, it's all about men wanting to feel like real men.

Watching the Background Women Trope.

I would hardly call it "scientific research", but it seems like she's been reviewing quite a few games on the subject. The video doesn't really spend time ranting one way or another, and more on listing the various trope examples akin to a grocery list. In terms of prostitution/strip clubs, many of those fit the setting and often aren't compromising the "maturity" of the title.

I wasn't offended by the video, but don't fully agree with her either.

I feel like I should get on twitter and post my own thoughts on same subject in very good manner than her. I do my research because I learned from my life I go through.

I also do HOPE that her twitter is closed someday that she realizes she made mistake of causing a firestorm over her tweets.

Edit:

made my own tweet.

I've read quite a few of your posts now, but you seem to be just as incorrect as Anita Sarkeesian. You treat these issues as black or white and you over-generalize. Everything you've said comes off as tunnel visioned, especially in that you're not taking into account people who are: lesbians, homosexuals, bisexuals,  polysexuals, pansexuals, transsexuals, asexuals, and/or intersexed. It's not black and white. Gender isn't binary. Sex isn't even binary, given that so many human beings are born intersexed. (1.7%)

This kind of alienation is the problem, whether it comes from those who support or oppose the standard "man" or "woman."

Anita (and those who copcat her words) alienates people. Men People who summarize what "all women are like" are alienating people too. Neither response helps the issue.  And neither response is even correct. It's over generalizing and it's no wonder that so many individuals take issue with Anita as well as with those who vocally oppose her.

tldr: People are different. They always will be. And trying to categorize their behaviors between two (gender) groups is lazy.

Also, I recommend the book "Brain Sex."  The information in it is pretty nuanced when it comes to explaining the chemistry behind sexual development in the fetal brain - how easy it is for a female fetus to develop a brain affected by a dominance of male hormones, which leads to so many of the gender and sex variations we see in our world today.

edit: Nevermind. I'm not sure if I have the correct title.
