I hear you there, but I do enjoy the Grand Tourney idea.  What I was thinking was not only would that be a cool thing for all players to see, it could also give a chance to make the KISA's sexuality known in a subtle way.  Such as a flirt option for the male PC to give them a token of their favor.  If the PC isn't interested in a romance, then show the KISA giving a caprice coin to an adoring man in the crowd.

No, that's a lovely idea, I agree. I'm all for sexuality being overtly shown, I jsut mean in terms of "sexuality being the focus of the character's arc, or at least a large part of it", I'm ehhhh.

I went on a business trip when my obsession boyfriend wanted me to stay home and he's peeved at me, thus causing me to get zero work done, worry that he's mad or steppin out, and post on forums like a lunatic..

 

These things happen.  You'll be less Vivienne in the light of day and things will be better.  That's how it always works in the morning.

So, the new DLC probably won't feature a new temp companion, (although who know? Maybe it might)  but judging from the title, the Avvars look to be involved.

 

So what are your thoughts on a future Avvar KISA?  Or a KISA from one of the other barbarian tribes?   Could he/she fit the KISA trope?

 

Anyone else excited about the DLC?   I am, and will be watching the trailer like crazy, but alas, I am a PS4 guy so I can't get my grubby little paws on it until Paragons knows when.

I'm slumming it on 360 still, and can't seem to get a straight answer in whether it's releasing for us or not.

Hmmm...I need to refresh my memory on the Avaar lore if I'm honest. The KISA trope, or knights in general, are generally associated with medieval contexts, which suits most of DA just fine. Can Barbarians count, though...? Tbh I'm not 100% sure. I need to read up a bit on their warrior structure.

Well, the giant Avvar guy we can recruit kind of has some metal bits on his chest and arms.

 

(Too bad they took away his ginger goatee in the game.  He looks so much better here in his Alpha version. )

Well, the guys we meet in game are kind of vigilante or plain bad guys, but there has to be some good, honorable individuals too.  Maybe.

 

He/she wouldn't be a literal knight, but if they had the personality, I think it could work.
