Dry and dark humor are obviously the best.

That's why Dolorous Edd is prime material

Tbh, I'd go for a romance like Leeron, from Gurren Lagann, in the next game.

GurrenLagann-17-Large05.jpg

He IS a bit of a walking stereotype with how over-the-top effeminate he is, but he's a tech genius and one of the most important members of Team Dai-Gurren on the show, on top of having fantastic dialogue and excellent chemistry with the main cast and is an overall badass.

Sorry, but yuck.

Dolorous Edd: " There are worse ways to die than warm and drunk. I knew a brother drowned himself in wine once. It was a poor vintage, though, and his corpse did not improve it.”

Jon Snow: “You drank the wine?”

Dolorous Edd: “It’s an awful thing to find a brother dead. You’d have need of a drink as well, Lord Snow.”

"We will defend the wall to the last man!" said Cotter Pyke.

"Probably me." Said Dolorous Edd, in a resigned voice.

I would prefer someone with a clean sense of humor for the same reasons.

Well dry humor is more about the delivery than anything so one could have both I suppose though then again I'm not 100% sure I've ever seen clean humor either so I could be dead wrong but I do think one could have both.

Now I'm really wanting an LI with the dryest sense of humor there is, I should probably shut up about  it.

Now that's the kind of humor I can get behind.

"Once they figure a way to work a dead horse, we'll be next. Likely I'll be the first too. 'Edd,' they'll say, 'dying's no excuse for laying down no more, so get on up and take this spear, you've got first watch tonight.' Well, I shouldn't be so gloomy. Might be I'll die before they work it out."

"I never win anything," Dolorous Edd complained. "The gods always smiled on Watt, though. When the wildlings knocked him off the Bridge of Skulls, somehow he landed in a nice deep pool of water. How lucky was that, missing all those rocks?"

"Was it a long fall?" Grenn wanted to know. "Did landing in the pool of water save his life?"

"No," said Dolorous Edd. "He was dead already, from that axe in his head. Still, it was pretty lucky, missing the rocks."

I actually think it's high time that we get an over-the-top feminine gay man in a Bioware game.  While it's not normally the type guy that I go for, I think it would be great to see feminine guys represented.  I think that, like butch lesbians, they might be a little scared to have a character that is 'stereotypical' out of fear of negative backlash.  I'm personally more interested in the KISA being like that guy from Pillars of Eternity, but that's just me.... ;)

There are dry, clean comedians so yes they can.

that stuff is gold, particularly when your daily routine involves "freezing your balls off at the end of the world" and "hope you don't get killed by demons from 10k years ago"

Please, explain how it is funny? There has to be a reason you think it is objectively funny so go ahead and explain it.

Laughing about the death of others is objectively not funny. Anyone who does has issues.

Well, nothing is objectively funny. That's not really how comedy works.

because the dark humor, with the dead-pan delivery is a nice commentary on the brutal world of Westeros, its also a little unexpected because of the setting and how serious the night's watch is.

these guys are a bunch of criminals/deluded volunteers who are forced to sit on the ass end of the world where the temperture rarely if ever goes over freezing, while everyone else around them also hates them, and or is trying to kill them, on top of ice demons.

and no women

Humor is subjective by nature...

Is there anything you believe is "objectively" funny?

Honestly, it's not that serious.  It's okay to lighten up a bit or, at the very least, allow others to enjoy humor without damping the conversation.
