As for female romancing Leliana, I only played once as female, but had trouble wooing her. When I played as male I always had to tell her we were just friends.

Back on-topic, I kind of want a subversive KISA. That is, I'd like a character who looks much more like a bishonen type and has the KISA personality we discussed, vs. someone who looks more like say, Loghain or the Arishok. But then I like that in all my LIs. One of the reasons I'm such a big fan of Cassanda is the contrast Bioware's set up between her personality - someone who's very much a sap for sweet, romantic-y things and the tough, butch exterior that suggests the opposite.
Wait, is that the It Gets Better guy? Oh wow, very disappointed.
The one and only.
He takes a political stand on some important issues, and to that extent what he does is laudable. But he's opinionated, and in some ways strangely opinionated. Anyway, this is all OP.

Yes. Give us a gay chevalier! Or give us some gay Orlesian soldiers in our army!
Or Ferelden soldiers. Or Grey Wardens.

All of that can be true and they can be demisexual, none of it could be true and they're demisexual. I don't see any of that excluding the possibility.
Do you know what demisexuality is? Just asking since a couple of people you listed are textbook versions of what they aren't and yet you're saying they can be.
Yes. Give us a gay chevalier! Or give us some gay Orlesian soldiers in our army!
Hopefully not Chevaliers. They'd be imprisoned by my Inquisition on principle due to being Chevaliers.

Demisexuals require close connection and intimate understanding of a person to feel desire for them. In game no one has sex with you until the end, after many battles and social interactions. They can have had more than one sexual partner in their lifetime, they can be kind and flirtatious, they can be interested and friendly.

I like contrast too. My ideal would be a big tough guy who looks like he'd be aggressive and alpha, but is actually very gentle and soft spoken. Maybe even shy.
Cassandra is just too amazing. Can't wait to meet her.

Bisexuals often erase themselves
oh sh*t! is this some new superpower i have? : o
as far archetypes go, it would be awesome for bioware to branch out more. i don't think a character should ever be designed around being an li or fitting a certain archetype, but i do think the devs should know that it would be appreciated when the're bouncing their ideas for characters around. it would be cool to see a charming rogue like straight character, a strong knightly gay figure, a nerdy bisexual, etc. again, they shouldn't be designed around it but it would be cool to keep in mind.

Um, Morrigan can have have sex with you after leaving Lothering and again is not interested in a relationship, only sex.
Demisexuals do not get or are uncomfortable with flirting so Alistair, Leliana, and Sebastian are out.
I just eliminated every LI you gave as an example. And the others as I said there is no evidence one way or the other.
But we should take this to PM.

Don't Liara and Merrill fit the "nerdy bisexual". Liara at least for sure.
I'd also say Garrus fits the "charming rogue-like straight character".

Just put a q at the end. It symbolically represents everybody else that does not fit under just L, G, B, or T.

What does Merrill do to disqualify herself? I've never actually been able to bring myself to romance anyone other than Isabella, so I legitimately don't know.
Edit: Clearing up intent.

David Gaider confirmed her to be bisexual. For a while I thought she was what I was.

Well, you still have Merrill as a nerdy bisexual in Dragon Age.

That's true, I do remember this coming up before. Does anything she do in-game disqualify her though? I'm of the opinion that art, once released into the world, stands on it's own and authorial intent is no long important.
