Exactly what I have in mind. It's time for a female warrior with a little enthusiasm and free spiritedness.
On the battlefield though, I'd imagine a big difference. She'd become a Valkyrie.
This female two hander, I'd rather she have a unique model. Wonder Womanesque.
I'd go further...She Hulk style

Swimmer's muscles, I say. I want swimmer's muscles. ![]()
There's got to be a balance between the limp noodle arms and an actual body builder's physique.

I prefer something a little more defined. Swimmers have great builds, but for a fighter, I think more of a martial arts build would work. Not as muscled as, say, Bruce Lee was, but something in between a "lean and mean" build and extremely well defined muscles.

lol. That's just the way the book How To Draw Comic Book Characters described it when talking about drawing the musculature on super heroines. The called musculature like Wonder Woman's "swimmer's muscles". They're there, and they're athletic, but they don't look like the character has actually spent time pumping iron for the purpose of making them large and impressive.
When I say that, I'm just using the term to refer to that kind of physique, whether or not it's an accurate reflective of "real" swimmer's muscles.
I'd approve of a woman fighter who doesn't have to be stoic / pragmatic / prickly all the time. Feminine can be misused but sure, that as well.

Dancers? Triathletes?
Or whatever those guys who dress up and hit each other with swords for fun look like, you'd assume they have the right build.

Yes, please. No noodle arms. Large muscles aren't necessary (but for guys, yes, large muscles please lol ) but IMO women's arms are just too thin in DA:I. The upper arm should at least be a little larger than the lower arm and yet it is all the same size.

Fencers? I used to fence with a rapier back in high school. And the professionals do have very nice builds. ![]()

I've taken fencing lessons.
If my teachers are any indication...Yes, yes they do.

that's just it though, along with a masculine personality, most games (and media in general) are afraid to show a physically overpowering woman. Like honestly, i really think the qunari female character model should have been beefed up quite a bit.

I agree, particularly with the qunari, it's more of a personal taste. ![]()

I was actually thinking of the medieval enthusiasts who make replica gear and then beat each other up with / in it, but fencers would work as well.
@Hanako Ikezawa: I completely agree with you, if the laughter is coming from a place of apathy. If you, somehow, think it's genuinely funny that people died... you're screwed in the head.
But, as In Exile states, gallows humor is almost a kind of resignation to a situation you're absolutely powerless against.
Someone like Eder doesn't actually think dead people are hilarious... but some people mirror the absurdity of their condition with gallows humor and I actually can appreciate it for what it is and not demented apathy (which also exists and I agree with you that it's abhorrent).
It's kind of a last stop before despair.
I guess I've only been subjected to the apathy kind, so my perception is skewed.
See my other post for the minority thing.
I'll add that it also pretty logical really, you develop manneurisms while doings stuff and from the people around you. Boys tend to lean towards more "masculine" hobbies and spend usually more time with their father and other boys, that's why being masculine is the norm for a man. Society also expects us to be strong, confident and all that jazz so it's another thing that pushes us that way. Our gay men brains are no different aside from the boner switch.
About the old world thing, it was mostly a dominance thing, taking it pretty much meant you were weaker than the other man. Men were and are expected to be strong enough to protect their family. Is it a bad thing ? I don't know. What I do know however is that the concept of what makes a man strong has greatly changed since then. We're far less stuck up about "honor" that's for sure.
In high school I babysat a three year old kid from a highly religious family and super masculine father who played with him trying to make him not want to play with girlie things. The girlier he was, the more his father played ball and spent time with him.
He's 18 now and going to chef school. He's also gay. Some kids are born with different neurology which is directive of a lot of things we do.
And in the ancient world they were specific that if you received you were a woman and woman was bad.
Treating people like they can just stop is mean.

Well of course some boys are different, I said being masculine was the norm not what all boys are.
Don't think there are no girly boys that end up straight either, but you'll see far less feminine straight adults because of the gay stereotype. Being gay still has really negative connotations and they'll do anything not to be seen as one of "them".
Outside of that nothing much except for not being promiscuous along with being face modeled and voiced by Janina Gavankar
Pretty much a mirror opposite of Isabela lol
Maybe a female Chevalier companion?
Please not a Chevalier.
Please not a Chevalier.
Just because there was one reference to a terrible practice within the Chevaliers does not make them a terrible order. Just as the fact that there is a Right of Annulment, the Seeker Tranquility secret, or the fact that Wardens don't tell recruits about the ramifications of slaying an archdemon don't make them bad orders as well. Until we get confirmation that the murder and pillage of an alienage is a requirement to becoming a full fledged Chevalier, I think you are judging them much too harshly.

One reference? Try essentially every reference. The initiation isn't the only thing that makes them a terrible order. The right to steal, rape, murder whoever or whatever they want also comes to mind. Even if not every Chevalier does it, the fact it is acceptable behavior makes it a terrible order.
At least the Templar Order and Seekers of Truth, for the most part at least, frowned on Templars and Seekers going too far with mages and civilians, punishing the offenders.

How many times are you going to bring this up? It's bordering on thread derailment at this point.
