You mean like Alphonse Elric? Because I would love someone like Alphonse Elric as a companion.

I'm not sure what he's like as a character as I have not watched Full Metal Alchemist, but after a quick Google, I know of him. I'm only guessing, but he looks kinda sweet- in his human form, at least. So if his temperament is as mild as he looks, I'd like to see that in a knight, or even just any companion.

I knew the concept of the character sounded like something from an anime...

Character who is righteous and serves someone evil, but who you convince follow you instead and has redemption arc maybe too would be intresting as LI. That would work well with Chevalier character I think and of cource templar too.

Back-stabber Starscream character in other hand would be funny as heck. Companion who throwes you under bus everytime possible and tries to takes your place and when you finally manage to barely survive despite his scheming he makes blatant lie of not trying to over-thrown you and for some weird reason you still keep him around despite that happening all the time. Bonus points if Bioware did it so that you can't even kill or banish him in any point so you are stuck with companion who backstabs all the time. Not very LI material though :P

Edward Elric is definitely in the vein of the KISA. Alphonse maybe not so much IMO.

Yeah, he has a very good personality which fits a KISA.

Other way around. Alphonse is a lot more like a KISA than Edward is.

Alphonse? Doesn't he lack the courage of his own convictions? He is the same kind of personality as Edward to me but with less strength of will which I would think might be essential to a KISA.

I guess it might depend on which definition we're using. Both are KiSA-ish though to me to a degree.

I think Neil Patrick-Harris already coined the proper approach here - we'd have to ask just how attractive the backstabber Starscream type is to be OK with. I'm obviously shallow enough that I'd tolerate repeated self-defeating betrayal for, I dunno, some washboard abs and really great cheekbones.

I think it could be fun though the romance could come with ME style interrupts as well some scenes are actual romance and others involve them trying to take you out. I could and am having way too much fun with that idea.

As I read this I realise the implied hilarity between adding "******" between the two syllables of that word (wonky grammar aside).

Cheekbones can be such a powerful motivator. I'd rank that feature next to a sharp jawline.

Add a pair of expressive eyes, and insert a ::fans self:: gif. Perfect.  :D

When I think of cheekbones, I think of Olivia Wilde.

Hey there, sexy.  Come back to my place and I'll let you... eat crackers on my bed.

I bet she's never heard that pickup line before.

Depending on the girl, that would get you slapped or a laugh if used it as a pick up line.  Try it anyway, if you're single.  If she laughs and still talks to you after, she's a keeper.   :P

Laughter is the key to long term relationships and healthy marriages.  Something that a gay KISA needs badly, without hitting Dorian levels of snark.

You didn't need to put that into tiny text, my friend.  I will proudly state that I'm a sucker for a sexy male voice.  Valen Shadowbreath; Garrus; Fenris; Iron Bull.  I wasn't a huge Zevran fan, but he's got a nice voice too.  I will admit that one of the things that attracted me to my husband was a deep voice.

He's also got a deep belly laugh, but he does giggle.  When he does, it's usually means he's about to blow something up in a game, or watching a video of stuff blowing up.  I get nervous if I hear him start giggling when we're playing something like ToR or Diablo 3.  That usually means he's about to do something crazy and I'm already calculating the likely repair bill due to my character having a sudden case of death.

I don't know.  Cleaning up crumbs left in bed by Olivia Wilde strike me as a nice problem to have.

A bit of a cough there?  Here I thought I was the sick one.  Teasing.

Yes, that's what specifically I had in mind.  One of my friends plays a lawful good paladin in our D&D sessions with the driest sense of humor.  He's a lot of fun.  He needed that sense of humor to hang out with the rest of us CG types.   :P  A dry sense of humor over a snarky one seems to feel more natural to me when it comes to a KISA.  It's also something I'd like to see more of in general, but especially from a gay/bi KISA.
