A bit of a cough there?  Here I thought I was the sick one.  Teasing.

Yes, that's what specifically I had in mind.  One of my friends plays a lawful good paladin in our D&D sessions with the driest sense of humor.  He's a lot of fun.  He needed that sense of humor to hang out with the rest of us CG types.   :P  A dry sense of humor over a snarky one seems to feel more natural to me when it comes to a KISA.  It's also something I'd like to see more of in general, but especially from a gay/bi KISA.

Allergies over here are just dreadful :P

I love snark always will but dry humor has always been my favorite and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it used more often than the usual lewd or snarky humor. Not that I don't like those too its just dry is my favorite form of it that and deadpan which might be the same thing not sure though.

Basically, allergies plus a sinus infection = no fun.  There is some weeds in the backyard I'm mildly allergic to.  Normally it's not a huge deal, but we haven't had the sun come out for more than a few minutes at a time in the last three weeks.  It's a big pain in the butt to mow and trim a big backyard when it's been raining almost constantly.  We're gonna bite the bullet and take care of it this weekend.  My husband's now sick too, but it has to get done.  The weeds have to grown up to my husband's knees in some spots, and he's 6'5".  It's a very unusual weather pattern for my home state.  Go go El Nino, I guess.  <_<

Snark is fun, and it suits some characters like Dorian very well.  However, I think an example of a more dry sense of humor that I enjoyed has to be Isabela so far.  I know it sounds weird, and she's a little snarky (as most BW characters are to some degree imho,) but she's so dry.  It's one of the traits I could see that worked for a pirate working for a KISA.  Very dry, but with just enough of a bite to keep up with the more boisterous characters that we're likely to have.

I'm all about lithe. But I get that's kind of anti-trope in this case. So the obvious answer is that can get your beefcake if I can get my wiry, lithe guy.

Well not really an answer but imo the build should match the class imo. I'm not saying make them jacked but a build to match the kind of training they do would be nice.

Regardless of the gender of the KISA I certainly wouldn't mind them being on the thick side.

I've always found lithe body frames more aesthetically pleasing that beefy.

Lithe is a unisex term.

I dunno, I kinda felt Dorian was build pretty much exactly like Alistair. I'm thinking more on the Zevran - Fenris scale.

And since I mention Fenris, we all have to have the obligatory swoon over his voice, demand a DLC where he just reads the phonebook, and move on with our lives.

Hmmn... might depend on the character and their background to some degree, I would think qunari lady blacksmith would have to have thick muscles especially arms and shoulders but a 'duelist' type from Antiva or Rivain might well be more lithe. Usually I'd pick somewhere in the middle as a preference, probably slightly more toward the "beefy" end but not really extremes either way.

Yes this fence is comfortable, why do you ask?

I didn't even watch the last two seasons of this show, but this is a mighty fine build.  Just enough definition and muscles for me.  Note that I'm using this picture for physical comparison only.  This character is the one of the last people in fiction I think of when I think of a KISA, so don't mistake me there.  I did love this guy, and I've watched bad movies because of this actor and his brother:

Uhm. Wow. He waxed. Like. Everywhere (that I could see, but...). Who's he again?

Anyway, it really depends for me, honestly. If they look cool to me, they look cool. But I do have a fond appreciation for muscular physiques... not "bodybuilder Mr. Universe contest" built, though.

His name is Alexander Skarsgard.  He played Eric Northman in True Blood.  His brother is in the show Vikings.  Also, that's partially airbrushed.  He's very blonde and not entirely hairless.  :P

I wasn't talking about the chest hair so much as the physique.  I don't mind chest hair, especially if we can get a Rock Knocker.  ;)

To be honest, I'm not exactly a fan of body hair... well, don't mind much, but I really wasn't complaining when I saw scenes of Dorian bare-chested on Youtube... It really depends on the character design, though...

Gosh, I was trying to think up of a couple of actors/actresses who I had in mind for knights, but when it comes finding examples for body types, I'm all like "yeah, nuddah!".

The hairier and beefier the better. We need some straight up bear representation in our m/m LIs! I'm sick of all of these skinny twinks (Zev and Fenris) and gym bunnies (Dorian, Kaiden, and Steve).

Bull was FANTASTIC for that. The fact that he was big and muscular but had a belly.... <swoon>. It's another reason why I'd be in favor of a Rock Knocker KISA since dwarves are naturally kind of bear-like. Muscular, hairy, and thick! I want my guys to look like short hairy rugby players. Can we get a guy like that, please?

For ladies, I've always been partial to tall, muscular, statuesque types. It's why I love the idea of the lady qunari blacksmith. I imagine she'd be strong without being straight up She Hulk.

ETA: Olivia Wilde = stunningly gorgeous. But be careful......she's got a 'man jaw' and you know what happens when Bioware ladies have 'man jaws'......

Stop drawing attention to it. She has long hair, no one will notice.

I don't know, I've always been a little partial to lady man jaws. Usually anyway. One year Sweden's Eurovision entry had lady man jaw in bad way...

That said, I think I'd prefer a softer look to a F/F KISA. Just for diversity's sake after Aveline and Cassie. Same for a M/M KISA. I prefer men that aren't as hairy and more in between the muscles and lithe, but I'd prefer to see a 'bear'. Yay for diversity and whatevers. But I don't do the M/M routes so who cares what I think in this case?

I'd imagine that KISA would need to be bit more on beefy side to be able to lift a sword, that's if they are also knights with literal meaning of the word ^^

Real talk: Cassandra is one of the very few women I could possibly ever swing straight for. She's absolutely perfect in every way, and I will thrown down with anyone who says otherwise.
